✓ Great location and friendly staff. Above a pub which is great if you stay til closing time!
✗ Someone took my breakfast from the communal fridge so I wouldn’t recommend using that facility. Take some ear plugs if you’re looking for an early night.

Way better than you’d expect for rooms above a pub!
✓ Great location, very clean, friendly staff, and other guests were very helpful and considerate. Didn’t notice much noise from the live band which was my best guest fear.
✗ Could do with a bedside table and reading light if I’m being petty

✗ Cold white lightbulb in bedroom. Should be warm white in relaxing areas, cool white in kitchen & bathrooms. No plugs for washroom basins - couldn't shave. Also risky rinsing cantact lenses without a basin plug.

Pleasant
✓ Great location right in the middle of Methven and a very close walk to many of the shops and cafes. It was also great to be so close to the i-Hub, where we got picked up and dropped off by the bus to Mt Hutt. The facilities like the kitchen and bathroom were nice and clean enough. Check-in and check-out was also very easy.
✗ The heater in my room was not strong at all so I had many freezing nights. However, the heater in my friend's room was great - so it really depends on the room you get. The noise coming up from the pub was not a huge problem for me but it is definitely something that people need to be aware of before booking, especially on Saturday nights when there's a band.

✗ Showers are very tired Not worth $80 pn but that's Methven I ATM in town did not work. Pub also has one but it needs to be open - 3rd World

If our single rooms are all booked ! Then you can book our Twin rooms but they have two beds in them . So you pay per number of beds in the rooms . Cheers Team Blue Pub

Hi there - you would need to book our Family room - it has 1 x Super King Bed and 2 x king single beds in the same room. Our rooms don't come with breakfast - you are welcome to bring your own and use our communal kitchen area. Cheers Team Blue Pub

Hello, Our kitchenette provides a microwave, toaster, fridge and kettle. Does not have a stove unfortunately. There is no washing machine, dryer or iron either. But you find a 24h laundromat in Methven. Regards, The Blue Pub
