Comfortable and great value!
✓ Clean room, clean facilities, and plenty of breakfast items provided. Loved the rustic feel of the place! Also fantastic to have access to tea and coffee at all times.
✗ Toilet floor was a bit wet and the toilets themselves weren't perfectly clean, but there were a lot of people staying that weekend (incl kids).

An old quirky character pub. If you want flash accommodation this establishment will not be for you.
✓ The breakfast was very basic but considering the price of the accommodation it was nice to have a breakfast included.

Worth a visit just to have a drink with the locals and the staff
✓ Karen was absolutely awesome, a true rural pub. Locals were true hardworking Kiwis… not Las Vegas, but if you want real NZ … definitely worth a visit .. Just for Karen !!!
✗ Definitely a rural pub… $80 for a very worn mattress … If the bed had been more comfortable would have scored five stars on staff and atmosphere

✓ an older hotel but lovely and clean and tidy with friendly helpful staff. Located in the township handy to shops and with warm welcoming bar and restaurant with lovely food, well cooked.
✗ A paint and decorating job would lift it no end.

Great cheap option for overnight stay
✓ Great value to spend the night if you are driving through the South Island, old building that needs some work but everything is clean, basic breakfast provided.
✗ Soundproofing is bad, i could hear the guy snoring , and i don't even think he was in the room next to me. For that reason, I personally would not come back as I am a light sleeper.

We have under cover parking for motorcycles not a garage but we have parked numerous bikes here with no issues.

Our property is pet friendly as long as they are House trained and don't sleep on the beds. We do have a fridge available for guests use.
