Good value for money, although communication could be improved.

✓ The fish are a nice addition to the homestay! The kitchen is functional and a bonus. Breakfast isn't appetising but it's nice that it's offered anyways.

✗ It should have been communicated in advance on the website that AC and sink in the room is only available for an additional charge. This is a matter of poor communication. Staff also did not speak English, which is not a problem, just be aware beforehand to have google translate ready if you do not speak Indonesian. It should also be noted that only cash is accepted (and I am not sure if there is any ATM). Room is not especially clean as there are smashed bugs and ants all over the walls. No top-sheet for the bed is provided, only a fitted sheet on the bottom and a musty blanket (maybe this is a cultural expectation though). The free wifi was spotty and not reliable.

Overall it is a good hostel but it depend who the receptionist/staff of that day.

✓ Have sharing kitchen. The warung in front of this hostel serve a good soto.

✗ We contacted the property only to get response 1 day after check in, also the reply only for contact number. When we arrive also the receptionist look like didnt aware we hv reservation that day. The rental bike price start from 70k not as show in picture 60k, also when we rent the bike the receptionist didnt say anything and directly charge us bike for 80k. I understand that there is rate for bike but directly charged us the higher rental without consult with us is not proper. The breakfast also didn’t start at 7. The first morning the breakfast start at 8 and the next day luckily there is another customer/staff rang the bell so the guy wake up and serve the breakfast. The hospitality of this hostel didnt feel until our last day when the parent/elder staff take over.

The above is not a rant. Just advice to travellers. I would not book this accommodation again.

✓ Pleasant courtyard. Pleasant staff.

✗ Place - very neglected. Room in need of paint, squashed insects on walls, nowhere to hung clothes. No windows - like a prison cell. Bathroom- only cold water, no wash basin; just toilet and plastic shower hose. Water didn’t drain so always a pool on the floor. I had to ask for toilet roll. Breakfast - make your own, which is no problem BUT it consisted of terrible white sliced bread and jam. Kitchen - dirty! You wouldn’t want to touch the dish cloths! Location- v poor for me, a single female traveler. After sightseeing- you are trapped or have to arrange a taxi to take you somewhere else. Nowhere to just have a little walk, have a drink, waste some time.

✓ The staff was helpful, they had tour info & scooter rental. The room was spacious & the bed comfortable. Tea & coffee provided.

✗ Internet wasn't working everywhere, I had to change rooms. Cold water shower. Breakfast was only bread & jam.
