✓ Large basic room, very comfy bed and pillows, hot shower, great location, lovely, friendly owner who allowed an early checkin, a nice outdoor area, access to a basic kitchen.

Pleaseant stay, kitchen to improve

✓ I had a very big room with 4 beds for myself. The bathroom is clean and shower is warm. There is a nice common space. Gonzalo provided a lot of information about Arequipa and I arranged several tours through him. He is very flexible also concerning payment.

✗ One facility to improve is definitely the kitchen. It is quite dirty and there is not enough light to do the dishes (ofc also responsibilty of the guests). I missed a plug next to the bed. As Gonzalo is not always there sometimes he is difficult to reach. The first day one of the guests had to open me the door. About the tours, the information he provided was not always complete resulting in extra charges or me having to share the room instead of having an individual room. There should be more clarity and communication to avoid misunderstandings.

✓ Excellent service by the host and other staff, such as quick and affordable laundry service and great help in getting some tours and activities in and around Arequipa booked.

✗ The bathroom has a strong smell, as if the drainage system does not work properly. And since the bathroom has no window or ventilation, that smell went into the bedroom, which was a pity. I am sure it is something they will fix soon, the host is running his business very professionally.
