Beautiful, welcoming, great location for exploring this beautiful valley

✓ Everything! The host, Alfredo, was so kind and welcoming, he showed me around the casa and meditation garden, gave me lots of help for walks in the area and even gave me some of his eggs from his own hens and mango's from his organic garden! I couldn't have asked for more. He is an exceptional host who really wants to make you feel at home and will help in any way he can. As a lone traveller, he let me tell him where I was walking just in case which was really reassuring, I was most greatful for that. The casa has an equipped kitchen with toaster, fridge/freezer, egg cooker, microwave and kettle, perfect for breakfasts and lunches. Rooms are spotless, spacious, have their own sink, wardrobe, mine had a table and chair too. Beds are super comfy! The casa is right in the main hub of the village in the sqaure with views of the mountains. Bus stop 2 mins away for well connected links to San Sebastin, Valle Gran Rey and Hermigua. Don't miss the casa cultural in hermigua if you go there, it's great! SPAR is underneath the pension so easy to get food/water, open till 8:30pm at night. There is so much to explore locally if you love walks. There are also a few really descent restaurants, bars and cafe's after a hard day's hike! I found everyone in the village very friendly and had the best experience based in Vallehermoso in incredible La Gomera. It's about 3km to the beach where you will find an exceptional & free salt water pool with changing/toilet facilities. You can reach by foot via the easygoing road, or for a bit longer through the mangroves which I enjoyed alot. 100% recommend to others travelling in this beautiful area.

✓ Lovely location in the centre of town with good amenities. Loved the balcony and beautiful garden round the back for chilling. Alfredo is a friendly and helpful owner and the fresh eggs and boiling machine were a great touch!

✗ It's a minute away from the bus stop but you have to be very creative with the timetables if you don't have a car!

✓ Casa Amaya is a place full of good vibes, with a balcony to the main square + an organic garden and a cute little yoga room. The owner is super friendly and it’s really easy to feel at home.

✓ Amazing place to start your hikes. I could stay there for a long time. I stayed 5 nights and could sleep very well. Alfredo explains very well all the possibilities. The tourist office Guy was also very helpful. I met very nice people also in the casa!

✗ A bit far from where the ferry arrives (1,5hrs by bus).
