Incredible guesthouse

The hospitality of the guests is unmatched, we felt very welcome and had an incredible stay. The rooms are spatious and cozy, the bathroom is very comfortable and everything is clean. We want to come back, this is one of the best places we've stayed at.

Best price quality ratio in all of Armenia - the hosts are now my Armenian family <3

Babken and Gohar (the hosts) are two of my favorite people in the planet. They accommodated a late booking request from me and despite the late hours, and they received me like they were my family. With my very basic Russian and Armenian skills we were able to have a lovely conversation over a home-cooked dinner that tasted like heaven to me; complemented with the best homemade konjak and apricot vodka I’ve ever had. What impressed me the most is that for them it is very important that their guests have the best experience: so no matter what problem you have, they will try their best to sort it out (myself, I had an issue with my car and Babken helped me in the morning). Their kindness and warmth, truly, is one of the highlights of my experience in Armenia. Their house has lovely views and a big garden (in a Summer day being here was a breath of fresh air); and is quite spacious. The upper floor is the one used for guests, and everything is clean and well-managed. There is a small kitchen; and the shower (you get towels, yay!) is separated from the WC. Location is overall good, because it’s close enough to Yeghegnadzor if you need more “urban” services; but it is in Vernashen (an upper village), so it has all the tranquility of the countryside. And it is a good base to explore the Tanahat and Spitakavor Monasteries (the latter is one of my favorites because you can ring the bell and the hike to get there is AMAZING) and Proshaberd. Do be careful with your car because once you leave the H47 it’s all gravel roads. I had a great long night of sleep and I woke up to the lovely smell of freshly baked muffins that were part of my breakfast. Then, I was lucky enough to hear Babken play the piano (you’ll be surprised with his skills even though he wasn’t formally trained). How can you not have a great day starting like that? Afterwards, when I went out to explore for the day, I was gifted a few apples from the garden.

Exceptional

My stay here was an absolute delight, from the moment I arrived until the time I left. The Hosts were incredibly warm, welcoming, and supportive. Throughout my stay, my Hosts went above and beyond to ensure that I was comfortable and had everything I could possibly wish for in terms of: accommodation, nice company, hospitality/services, transport to-and from Yeghegnadzor, or information. The room was immaculately clean, with a spacious balcony overlooking the surrounding gardens – a peaceful, tranquil area. I would highly recommend this guest house to anyone looking for a memorable stay that feels like staying with family… - Thank you Gohar and Babken!!

Wonderful people and nice place

Very kind and friendly people. I don’t speak the Armenian language but they still try to communicate with you. Very caring and they make you feel very welcome.

I had high expectations but I got very disappointed.

I read some reviews before booking this guest house and they were very positive about this place. Unfortunately I had a completely different experience. When we arrived there was no one to help us initially. After the hosts finally got out of bed the check in procedure still took a lot of time and the staff was grumpy. When they finally showed us the ice cold room they told us that we had to pay 1500amd extra for a small heater that wasn't really sufficient to heat up our room. When we woke up the next morning we discovered a thick layer of dust under the bed and the showers also didn't have warm water. So unfortunately I can't recommend to stay here.

Exceptional

Nice location with a great view on mountains. Very welcoming hosts. Spacious room. During the winter, be prepared to pay some extra for heating, which is reasonable: the heating costs a lot in Armenia
