Very good but need to be on a lower floor.

✓ Lovely hotel. Ideal location for my needs.

✗ My room was on the fourth floor which is basically the attic. The last flight of stairs were very steep and narrow. I had difficulty getting up them due to my health. There is no lift.

✗ The 5 hour delay on check in. We didn't end up staying here as our room was under "maintenance". We booked in primarily for the 1pm check in. On arrival I was told this was not possible and the room would not be ready till 5:30pm. We were only booked for 1 night. We were offered a smaller room with 1 bed (it was me and a friend, and we booked a room with 2 beds) but was met with resistance when I asked for the price difference back. After not budging on either money back or a similar room, they moved us to their sister hotel across the road, which was arguably nicer. I understand these things happen but be prepared for people to actually show up at the check-in time, and have a backup plan - rather than asking them to just hang around for 5 hours. I never got the ladies name behind reception but she was understanding and helpful in the end. This is nothing against her as she was overall lovely to talk to. So thank you to her for sorting us out on what was a great 1 night trip in London.

Friendly staff, convenient location, value for money 9/10

✓ The staff were so friendly and welcoming and the hotel was exceptional value for money, especially in London! The hotel was a short walk from the coach station and our room was sufficient for a two night stay.

✗ There wasn't much milk for tea and coffee but staff were very accommodating and would promptly provide more if asked.

Our standard check in time is 13.30 p.m. you can check in anytime before midnight or if guests might be late then they should have informed us before at least so we can wait.
