The Hux Hotel is conveniently situated within short walking distance of some of London's most prestigious attractions, including The Natural History Museum, Victoria and Albert Museum and the magnificent Royal Albert Hall, one of London’s most iconic...

✓ The location was great if you wanted to be close to the parks and transport, and the spaciousness was good. It was clean, and there were some nice furnishings, and I found the bed comfortable.
✗ Quite a bit of the bedroom furniture and kitchen. cabinetry were cheap and so a bit tatty, kitchen cabinets weren’t fitted properly - felt like half the furnishings were nice and half were low quality. There was some poor design too - things like no way to keep the bathroom door open. And it was quite noisy - I could hear drilling and tapping very loud, so clearly quite thin walls as the hotel said it was not them. Water leaked from around the top of the bathroom door too - quite a lot of water. Very strange! I was in a suite and it was hard to get up the stairs from the street but the staff were really helpful. Staff were generally really great - lovely.
✓ The location was perfect, just opposite Kensington Gardens and I had a view of the corner of the park from my room. Close to all transport, including nearby car parks. The hotel is very dog friendly, no extra charge and they supplied a bed and a bowl. Staff are friendly, efficient and helpful - the lift is on the first floor but they brought my bag for me straight away. The rooms are small, they are advertised as such but very well equipped with bathrobes, good toiletries and bottled water. The bed was comfortable and the double glazing so efficient it was easy to forget that Kensington High Street is right outside.
✗ Nothing.
✓ Great location. Lots of space in suite
✗ Furniture very worn. Bathroom shower tile cracked that it was a danger with people cutting feet, mould on walls in bathroom. Very difficult to communicate with staff. Had requested a bottle of champagne in suite for birthday celebration and they didn’t understand email or telephone calls, even though they kept saying yes.
✓ Decor was fun and funky, well furnished and comfortable. Room was great and staff very helpful.
✗ It’s not accessible to those with mobility issues as there are a lot of stairs. Lift was not working when I stayed so it was a long climb to the 3rd or 4th floor. Even with lift, there are stairs to navigate.
✓ the staff were great, the place has a lot of potential, just needs a working lift and finishing of the refurbishment. good water pressure in the shower and nice soaps.
✗ I got stuck in the hotel lift, then it didnt work, the room i stayed in was extremely small on the 4th floor. no space to open a small suitcase. only on the bed.
✓ Friendly staff , nice facilities, quiet places
✗ Room was a bit small for the price
✓ The design of the whole place is wonderful, and the bed, sheets and pillows top quality.
✗ The elevator was broken, and as I had requested a room with a bathtub, I wasn't alerted that the only one was on the 4th floor! Normally I like to take a break at the end of the day and put my feet up before going out for dinner, but after 8 hours traipsing around London the last thing I wanted to do was climb up and down and up again 4 steep flights so I stayed out for dinner instead which made for long tiring days. I mentioned this to management at the end of my trip when I was charged extra for water, thinking it would have been nice for them to have made some kind of gesture to me before I left, not just 10% off “next time”. Too bad!
✓ The cleanliness was excellent, staff were very accommodating and friendly, offering drinks on arrival and to hold bags before our stay and after. Room show around was helpful for equipment etc. Excellent sound proofing for outside, very impressed. Lovely décor Perfect location.
✗ The room was very small. We were 2 friends not a couple. Not really any room for our suitcases even though we did unpack them and use the hanging space but couldn't store our suitcases without tripping over them or having to move them to open bathroom door. Getting ready to go out for our evening was difficult. I had to lean to side to sit on toilet as sink was sticking out. No hand towels in bathroom, but by time we noticed we had both started to get ready to go out so didn't want to go to reception half dressed.
