Very helpful owner, would recommend

✓ Very friendly and helpful owner, we didn't realise we needed to bring our own bedding so luckily he provided us with some, so something to bear in mind when you book a bunk room as it's not mentioned in the listing. The kitchen is spacious and overall good value for money

Peaceful and handy place to stay with great people/staff :)

✓ Awesome place to stay that met what I needed in terms of location for work. Great location close to NZMSC Portobello. Quiet location and great facilities for an overnight stay.

✗ Struck a night when all eat out places in Portobello were closed. There was still the store - but limited, and couldn't be bothered driving elsewhere after a big day and getting "home" for the night. Places are handy though - next time!
