My stay at Old Tatev guesthouse was impeccable! The hosts are amazing, the house is at a 3min car drive from the Tatev monastery, the place gives you so much good energy with the most gorgeous garden and outdoor landscaping. Couldn't leave the terrace, a great place to chill, read, sit with friends, drink wine, chill on the hammock or enjoy a great conversation with miss Alvart our beautiful host. The breakfast is also delicious and filling. This place comes HIGHLY recommended.

Everything was great- from the service (the staff was extremely nice and helpful) to the guesthouse itself. If you've decided to stay in Tatev, which is a remote village, then this is an excellent choice. I specially loved their garden and outdoor seating area which was charming, perfect place to relax, enjoy a nice drink. I wish I had more time to spend here, I arrived very late in the evening and left very early in the morning. The night was SO quiet, tranquil and beautiful, and the breakfast was served in the day in their outdoor area which was great too. Tatev Monastery is only a 5-min walk.

Nothing as such. I just wish they had a restaurant on site! But the nearest restaurant is only a 5-min walk away. The street gets VERY dark at night so be prepared to have a torchlight if you're going to stay out late.

Everything was great, Vagho is a great host and you have to try the local red wine, which can be purchased in the local market or at the guesthouse.

We love everything about this place. Incredibly beautiful house and surroundings with such a great host. By far the best stay we have had while travelling through Armenia. P.S. Really great home-made tea!

Probably the best accomodation we had in all of Armenia. Great rooms, lovely garden, nice breakfast...all in all great value. We felt great here and could have stayed longer. Thanx to the amazing host 😊

This place is wonderful!! A cozy family home in the mountains, with a lovely garden overlooking the mountains and an amazing outdoor space where to relax. The hosts are a gem: always ready to help and extremely kind. Thank you for all coffee/tea and the sweets! The homemade breakfast is super tasty and you get so much food that you'll be definitely ready for a full-day hike of the (beautiful) surroundings. This is definitely one of the best places I stayed in in Armenia, go there if you have the chance!

Nothing., everything was perfect. Maybe only beware that if you book the room with shared bathroom, the bathroom is outside so it might be chilly during cold times of the year. But, shared room or not, I would still recommend staying at this place!

This was my best experience in Armenia. Hosts offered me a tea when I arrived. They have nice terrace which looks exactly the same as on the images. In the morning some very kind woman served breakfast. It was everything from sausages, to eggs, bread, marmelade. It really exceeded my expectations. I wanted to pay them more then needed but they refused :) Location high in the mountains, near the monastery and wings of Tatev. Room has a electric heater, so no worries you would be cold. Btw. some tip to newcomers, take a note, there is no gas station nearby, so better to fill tank before you go down and then up the Tatev. I nearly used all reserve on my motorbike :)

The place is very nice, cosy, modern and clean and has all the necessary amenities to make you feel at home. It's a 10 minute walk from the beautiful Tatev Monastery. The rooms are spacious. Our rooms had balconies which was really cool as we could enjoy the beautiful views while having a meal or a drink there! The beds are very comfortable. There is a very nice yard where one could have breakfast or drink some beer and enjoy the views and the fresh air. The homemade meals are absolutely delicious. The hosts are very kind and always ready to help. It's definitely the best place to stay in Tatev! Strongly recommend it!

Beautiful guesthouse. Welcomed with tea and cookies. Hosts were very kind and helpful. I needed some air in a car tire and they happily assisted me with that. Room was very comfortable with excellent bed and bathroom. Breakfast was very big and delicious with excellent coffee. My most comfortable stay in Armenia.

Peaceful and cosy place. The location was excellent it's close from Tatev Monastery and the Wings of Tatev. Breakfast was tasty. Great owners... They were generous and helpful, they offered us some food and home made vodka.
