A pleasant and picturesque stay.
✓ The location is beautiful and peaceful, with lovely walks in the surrounding area. The staff were helpful & friendly. Rooms are clean and comfortable. I'd definitely stay again.
✗ The WiFi wasn't good, but we were there on a spa break so didn't really need to use it.

✗ Being a lone female travelling on business I always find it strange that hotel staff don't think about my safety and give me a room down numerous corridors far from staff/reception. Also really horrid smell in the corridors, very unpleasant.

Lovely comfortable and relaxing stay
✓ Have stayed here many times, it’s all about the location it’s excellent. Out of the way and quiet for a break. Food is excellent if a little pricey Breakfast is spot on with good quality ingredients Comfortable views with amazing views and relaxing sound of the river
✗ Staff are maybe more sparse than they used to be meaning it can seem a little impersonal. Bar was quiet and lacked abit of atmosphere which it used to have pre covid

Very enjoyable despite the problems mentioned.
✓ Breakfast was good. Marmalade only? Honey would have been good as well. The staff were helpful. One went out of her way to help me as I had forgotten my iPhone charger.
✗ The restaurant was uncomfortable for single diners in the central tables. More privacy would have been appreciated. Major problems with key cards for the first 2 days of my stay. Staff unaware of a problem apparently caused by an electricity outage. Wash-hand basin plug not working throughout my stay. I did suspect a problem which should have been detected before my entry to the room.

Hello, about 30 minutes from the hotel. Taxis can be booked at reception, depending on availability so it is best to pre-book.
