Tarter Chalets Apartaments

Property could have been great, but actually wasn't due to maintenance and to construction noise.

✓ Property was spacious which was great.

✗ Noise - construction on both sides which we were not made aware of. Kitchen could have been cleaner - the oven had not been cleaned and smoked heavily when we turned it on. Also one of the beds in main bedroom was very squeaky.

Great value for money, beautiful views, but location inconvenient.

✓ Property was clean, comfortable and beautiful however if you’re not used to people smoking inside the odour can be overwhelming if you get an apartment that was previously occupied by smokers.

✗ The staff weren’t overly helpful and didn’t show any interest in the guests they were helping. And the location of the property to local shops/restaurants wasn’t the most convenient.

Try to not bump your Head

✓ It had a good amount of space for our group of five.

✗ The upper floor of the unit was a bit dangerous with all of the low beams. You often. hit your head. In the middle of the night you needed to be careful when getting out of bed. It would have been helpful to have a small bathroom on the kitchen / living room level.

Pleasant

✓ The apartment was for 8 of us and there was plenty of space. It was spotlessly clean with great showers. 4 bathrooms so good for lots of people kitchen well equipped, we cooked 4 meals.. Beds were comfortable and location was great for the gondola.

✗ You could hear the neighbours above as ceilings so thin and the apartment, whilst nice, was below ground level so quite dark and so we didn't have one of featured balconies in the photos. Not a big deal but some lord sunlight would have been nice. Last thing is some of the bedrooms overlook the large lounge area with the thinnest of white curtains which just didn't help good sleep - we had to cover them each night with blankets etc. Other than those things we had an excellent holiday.

✗ Came earlier and needed to wait the room cleaned spending 40-60min in a car

✓ Walking distance (almost flat) to the gondola and close at the rear of the complex to great bar (Dylan’s), restaurant, supermarket etc.

✗ The reception staff were dismissive, not helpful and lacked customer service skills. They gave us incorrect Information to find the actual apartment (they obviously don’t know the complex outside of the front desk) meaning we had additional unnecessary uphill walk with luggage. They were not helpful with car parking information. Only one key was available (including electronic tag for access to complex) yet this was an apartment sized/ designed for two families. The actual apartment was large as described but basically underground with no natural lighting - the bedroom windows are internal to the lounge/ sitting room and the only window in the sitting room is frosted to an outside covered walkway. The apartment would be best suited as a good value option to a group of young people who just want a bed for the night within walking distance of the Gondola and bars rather than families who might want to spend time in the apartment.
