Good stay in a non franchised type hotel

✓ Great welcome from Frederick and enjoyed the attic room Good to get great food in the rear terrace which very good Thanks to morning staff who returned my left out book and a easy departure

Adequate for a night or two.

✓ You get what you pay for. It was better than the horrible corporate places where everything is formica and chipboard, but it wasn't somewhere where I'd want to spend my holidays. For one or two nights, it's fine. The bed was all right, the room was quiet, and the breakfast was up to scratch. You can park in the hotel's car park, which is open to the road, although if the restaurant is full when you arrive, you may have trouble finding a place.

✗ It's a bit far from anywhere you'd actually want to visit, but that's about all.

Disapointing

✓ After changing the room the bathroom was ok. Bed was comfortable, Breakfast was quite good, Once I asked someone from the service for hot water I had tea and coffee for breakfast. Last day of my stay in the hotel the coffee machine was changed but still it was very difficult to operate it for me and an another guest who was not satisfied with this. The positive thing was that there was free parking place for the car.

✗ Bathroom in room I was offered was with black steins on the ceiling corners and I asked for changing the room. There was lack of possibility for preparing a tea or coffee in the room (I like tea very much). The coffee machine was not working good. The second breakfast I had without tea, because I could not see anybody from service when I was eating the breakfast, and coffee machine was not working well. Additional problem I had with the invoice for my visit in the hotel. When I asked for invoice last evening, I was said that the invoice would be sent by e-mail soon. I left the e-mail address, but nobody sent me the invoice despite fact that I called the following day to the hotel and I sent another e-mail for the address: [email protected] I will have many troubles to receive reimbursement from my Financial section and I do not know if I receive the cost back.

Good value accommodation with good access into the city.

✓ The room was spacious and comfortable, there was no a/c, but once I opened the windows it was fine. The TV and TV services were very good. Plenty of free parking which was helpful.

✗ There wasn't a lot of hot water - took a long time to get any through - but it was o.k.

✗ As a biker, the car park was gravel stones which made it a bit slippy

more expensive accommodation on my trip, with facilities that didn't quite hit the mark

✓ room was large. bed was comfortable. Breakfast buffet was varied and of good quality. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

✗ rooms are dated, could do with modernisation - carpets, decoration & furniture were all beyond end of life. there was no hot water both in the evening of my arrival and in the morning. drainage in both sink & bath was slow.
