Fantastic staff and location but perhaps be more flexible about check in time and be clear about your expectations when

The staff were exceptionally kind and friendly and helpful. The location was perfect.

I didn’t like that I wasn’t informed before the day before the stay that we had to check in by 5pm. We had to adjust our plans on order to check in on time. Also the parking instructions were unclear to us . And we couldn’t adjust our plans for breakfast.

Lovely Ryokan experience in Kinosakionsen

Excellent location by the best onsen and train station on the Main Street. Love that they give you a pass for the onsens and a map to find your way around.

The bed was really hard and not comfortable unfortunately.

The facility was nice but it was on a busy street with delivery trucks

Traditional ryokan with modern toilets.

No shower on property but bathe in Onsen. We traveled all day from Yokohama and took a couple of wrong trains and we got in late. We alerted the staff by message and were told if we weren’t there by 6;00 we would be locked out. At the last train station three of the six in our party took a cab in order to get there in time. If the train wasn’t delayed the other three would be there before six. The staff person was not happy and said he could not wait forever.
