Hotel Sofia by The Railway Station Wroclaw

A comfortable hotel in a handy position.

✓ A comfortable hotel in a good position opposite the main train station and 20-minute walk to historic precinct.

✗ You had to download a digital remote control to work the airconditioning. It only seemed to be on Google Play or some such, not Apple App Store

Pleasant

✓ Large, clean room with lots of wardrobe, drawer and cupboard space. Large bathroom with good shower. The public areas of the hotel were very nice and reception staff spoke good English.

✗ Because of the hotels location near the train station and with trams and buses passing next to the hotel it was very noisy until the early hours of the morning and also from around 6am in the morning. I was asked to download an app to my phone to use the air conditioning, the app didn't work. I was then given a remote control by the girl at reception but again this didn't work. The outside temperature was around 32c when I was there so I was very disappointed that I couldnt use the air conditioning in my room. It was very uncomfortable. When I was checking out I was told at reception that there had been some confusion with the remote controls for the room air conditioning and that I had been given the wrong one! That's not really acceptable for a supposed 3 star hotel.

✓ Across from train station, and bus station with huge mall for eating options. Yum cooked breakfast with fresh crepes, etc spacious room, tea/coffee making facilities, clean bathroom, quiet, view to beautiful station, tram outside, very good value. Quick elevator
