✓ I had a very warm welcome from the staff and to considered as a member of family !!!
✗ The government closed the internet in the area. So this was negative point but nothing they can do..,
✓ Staff was friendly. Woman owned & run business. Breakfast was delicious. Coffee and tea were so good. Kind hosts would absolutely stay again.
✓ The hosts are amazing and welcoming. The location is a walking distance to the churches. And they make great breakfast.
✓ The staff was helpful and arranged my pickup from the airport and was very kind and courteous. The room was also very good for the money I paid. Breakfast and dinner were great.
✗ Normally the staff of hotels know the prices of buses of major routes. One of the staff members took me to the bus stop to buy a bus ticket where I was charged double the amount for the bus which I only realised later. This happened while the staff member was present and he didn't bother negotiating the right rate. I normally expect staff to know such basic details and help their guests avoid getting scammed.
✓ Mini Lalibela Guesthouse is a great place to stay, perfectly located, clean and affordable. Birtukan the owner is adorable, very professional and really care of customers. I highly recommend it.
✓ best experience in Ethiopia, specially the coffee and food which the host provided!
✓ I had a really good time staying at Mini Lalibela Guesthouse. Although in the map it is not located in the city center, it is practically close to all the important places where you can arrive in 10-15 minutes by foot: city center, churches and bus station. The girls who take care of the place always make sure you have a pleasant stay with clean room/bathroom and nice breakfast (on the last day they even invited me a dinner). As well as a safe stay with a security guard at night. Also, I did a church-guided tour with a very decent and informative guide named, Mule. I appreciate his knowledge and manners a lot which made my visit to Lalibela very pleasantly memorable. Other excursions like hiking (I did with Gashaw, a joyful mountain guide) are also possible to do through the organization of the guesthouse or Mesfin, who will help you out with anything.
✗ The light in the shared shower room was not working very well when I was there.
✓ The host was just amazing, she was so careing, friendly, polite and welcoming. Everything perfect. I highly recommend.
✗ Use the google maps location, not the booking location of the accommodation
