✓ Great hotel overall, staff was very friendly and helpful. Facilities were top! Restaurants were great (morning/evening).
✗ Liked very much everything.
✓ Location is good for Penafiel and winery visit. design is nice and 2 level rooms are interesting with jacuzzi. Good price for this kind of offer. Front desk people very helpful.
✗ Hotel is a bit "tired" - in rooms and especially in the corridors You can see this- lights are dragged out from the walls In the room wooden floors also are quite used and needs repairing. Bathroom have been repaired, but so carelessly.
✓ exceptional setting and close to the best Wineries. All the staff were excellent and very helpful especially Carlos who made outlets visit to the restaurant very special.
✗ nothing
✓ The property itself was decent, the two young servers and the breakfast server were pleasant.
✗ The first night we arrived and wanted to have dinner at the restaurant at 8pm. The receptionist and the restaurant staff told us that it was impossible because they were fully booked and the kitchen was closed, until we started speaking to a Spanish family who told us that they were waiting for a takeaway pizza from the kitchen, so clearly it was not closed after all. We are international tourists, not domestic ones. After a bit of pressure from the Spanish family the hotel staff said that there was a booking cancellation and that we were “very lucky”. We were shown to the restaurant and we were the only people there. Not even one other person entered the restaurant until 9:30 pm. Clearly they were not booked and just didn’t appreciate international tourist business as we had just arrived and had given them no reason to treat us this way. During the dinner the server asked us if she could take our plates away when we were very clearly just beginning to eat. After the meal she tried to charge us for 5 glasses of wine when we had ordered 3. This trend of trying to sneak charges onto the bill was continued when we checked out and a pool charge was added that we had never incurred. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel at all, the hospitality business in Spain is usually of such a high quality and the staff were finding ways to make our lives and holiday more difficult and uncomfortable.
Buenos días, sí, contamos con 2 ascensores. saludos.
