Comfortable place to stay

✓ Very comfortable room and tasty breakfast with good selection of items - particularly enjoyed the pancakes.

✗ I think it you're after somewhere that can provide tips and advice for the area, and looking for slightly better value, there are other options in Karakol.

✓ We had a wonderful stay at Evergreen : a beautiful wooden guest house, very tastefully decorated and where the breakfast is hearty much like the hosts ! The beds are comfy, the bathrooms are really clean, modern and pretty, there are several common areas to chill a bit, play games, get to know your neighbors, etc. Really the perfect winter hangout! I really look forward to staying there again on a next trip to Karakol :)

✗ Only minus (but which is inevitable in the winter in the region) was the house’s coal heater that rejects fumes outside and made it hard to breathe freely in its immediate vicinity in the courtyard. (But honestly winters are very cold so unless you are -like me- a smoker, there’s no point just standing in the courtyard)

Quiet, comfortable, cosy.

✓ I liked the garden or rather orchard with chairs under the trees and the cats and the seating areas inside and the kitchen where you could make your own tea. The location is quiet, near the victory park and about 15 minutes walk from the university and the town centre. And you walk less than half an hour towards the hills and you can walk on and enjoy the views over Karakol.

Good place, unpleasant staff

✓ Very good location quiet area 10 minutes walk from centre, park nearby with track for joggers and walkers, nice house with garden, one very nice cay

✗ My room was very dark, bedside lamp missing The two women who run the place were very inhospitable, just one example:the woman who served breakfast every day just came into the breakfast room, put my breakfast on the table with a brief,'good morning'and left,no one ever asked 'how are you' or other basic things, they made me feel like an intruder

Delightful Little Guesthouse with tasty Breakfast!

✓ Amazing spot! The owners didn't speak any English but were really nice and welcoming. The breakfast was delicious and they even made it early in the morning for us! Great stay!
