Perfect location for touring Bordeaux

✓ We had a 2-bedroom (loft style) room upstairs equipped with A/C, a shower/bathroom and separate toilet area, mini-fridge, coffee/tea and a private terrace. Breakfast was lovely-fresh bread, croissants, yogurt, cheese and meat. Pierre couldn’t have been nicer. The bus stop was at the end of the street and the tram only a block further. But we were able to walk to the city center quite quickly as well. Did I mention how thrilled we were to have A/C??

Fabulous

✓ Beautiful hotel not too far from the centre of Bordeaux, just a 15-20 minute walk or a short tram ride. The beds were so comfortable, there was plenty of fresh air with opening windows onto the terrace and the breakfast was delicious with excellent service. We arrived late, so the ease of self check in was very convenient. I would very happily stay again or recommend this hotel to friends or family.

✗ Most of the nice restaurants are a decent walk or tram ride away, so if you don't mind staying a little further away it won't be a problem.

Excellent host, good value and in a quieter part of the city

✓ Quiet location. Room was spacious and comfortable. Air conditioning very effective. The owner Pierre was exceptional and spoke very good English. Pierre always responded promptly to requests and went out of his way to ensure my stay was comfortable. He provided a great breakfast each morning and his information site about various amenities,transport, cafes and restaurants nearby was very good

✗ I could not find any problems with La Chartreuse. I will be recommending it to family and friends visiting Bordeaux

✓ The host was so friendly and accomodating, about 25 minutes stroll to downtown and the place was clean. The room was a beautiful room in wonderful colors, with view to an outside training track, which did not effect my stay in any way. Breakfast was very good. I would definetly recommend it and would come back another time.

Can I park there? One of the reviews says there is onsite parking. If no parking on site is there street parking or a lot nearby?

There is a small garage in the basement of our house. The number of places is limited. If our garage is not available, it is possible to park the car on the street. There is also ample covered and secure parking nearby (6 minutes walk from here).

Do you supply laundry service?

There is no laundromat on site. But you can find one located 460 meters (6 minutes walk) from us.

Yes there is a garage in the basement at the property suitable for a medium-sized car. The number of places is limited. If your car is large, or if our basement garage is full, there is another car park nearby (just a 6 minutes walk)

Thank you for your question. We have a suite with a double bed and 2 single beds that's for 1 to 4 guests. And we have another suite with a double bed and a large single bed that's for 1 to 3 guests.
