Cosy and happy stay at Howarth House
✓ Couldn’t fault the hospitality, such lovely people and added bonus with the dogs. Very good value for money, everything I needed in the room and fantastic breakfast options. Great parking options.

✗ The temperature controller in the shower was very difficult to set and an acceptable temperature was almost impossible to find.

Highly Recommended
✓ My group had a total of three rooms and all three were clean, comfortable and warm. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was delicious with a good choice. Parking was a bit of a tight squeeze but there's on street parking if no spaces available in the car park. Just a short taxi ride away from the town centre. And Poppy, the resident pooch, is gorgeous. All six in the group would definitely stay at Howarth House again and highly recommend it.

We are dog friendly, Dogs are welcome in all rooms although we do try to use the same ones for dog visitors, and we have 2 resident dogs, However the rooms are spotlessly clean after every guest, you would not know dogs have visited.

We do not have a lift The singles are on the second floor. we only have 1 single on the first floor which is up 14 stairs
