I didn’t expect to get a huge room with a lot of things to use. It is enough for 2-3 people. I would’ve stay here again if I come back to Gyumri.

No reception. You have to wait for the owner to come but It doesn’t affect my stay as he came on time.

The room was clean and large , the bedding was so comfortable, I had access to fan and iron. The staff and the owner were nice and welcoming. They even put roses in my room. ♥ Definitely recommending this!

The only thing that was a minus was that the hostel is on the road, and you could listen to whatever was happening on the street. In my case - a dog was crying near my window.

We got a nice little apartment with a bedroom, a kitchen and bathroom. The host provided us with all the necessary toiletries, even toothbrushesand toothpaste. We had a kettle, kitchenware, coffee. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The place is a bit far from the center but taxis are really cheap and easily accessible, so that was not an issue. It was surprising that there were no windows in the rooms but it was not stiff inside. So it was not a problem either.

Room was spotless. TV had (besides the Armenian and Russian channels) also Discography and National Geographic and a YouTube function. Hot water heater and some plates and cups were also in the room in case you want to prepare something small. The room is right next to a shop (which is managed by the same owner) so conveniences are close. The place is a bit further from the center (about 30 mins walk), but taxis are affordable, and it's close to the train station, so I recommend it if you will be arriving/departing by train.

Difficult to like anything considering the c Ur room reeks in Others cooking smell Room in under street level and the curtains are transparent so you have to turn off the light for privacy

Not for non Russians guests.In fact, the whole town seemed stuck in the soviet mentality and hasn't evolved beyond that era. I was received by a frowning man who was even more displeased when he found out that i'm not Russian.He stopped me from entering to the reception area to talk on the phone and sounded annoyed.It's weird, since i communicated with him via Email and notified them of my arrival time as well as my nationality. Standing with heavy luggage in the cold for 10 minutes while he talked on the phone without being welcomed inside or even helped with luggage and the rude attitude, I decided to turn around and find another hotel but then he followed me and immediately ushered me inside. The cleaning lady was also equally unfriendly staring at me I a rude way from head to toe. The room was very cold,despite the fact that I particularly asked about the heater and was assured that "We have central heating and it's turned on the whole day " an obvious lie as it turned out to intice guests. When I asked about it they ignored me and after i Insistence they gave me a strange small device that blows out warm air and was told it's a heater. Then the owner kept sending his daughter to ask me not to turn on all the time.They try to make maximum money without actually spending on basic amenities such as Heating . Considering the prices charged per night you are actually helping him to make money and economising. Location is not in a safe neighbourhood. I went to buy snacks from the only place nearby and two guys followed me in the street till I pretended I was talking to the police.You do not get good vibes in this vicinity strong either ,xenophobia vibes. Reviews mentioning the nosy attitude were accurate.He wanted to know where I'm going how and how much I'll pay.

Hotel's Response

They say sometimes bad luck happens, so we were unlucky with a guest. A guest who thinks that her inappropriate behavior can tarnish the reputation of our property. The word terrible, which she used, can be used without exaggeration in characterizing this person. And what is most interesting, she was still in some guest houses and wrote the same review. The fact that she wrote a complete lie, without any justification. At a weather temperature of + 17 ° C, she writes that she froze in the cold, with the central heating turned on (and a heater as a bonus), she says, it was cold in the room, she dreamed of hooligans everywhere who pursued her and finally did not like the Soviet past of our city. When she was warned that when you leave, turn off the heater for safety purposes, she did not like it. She writes about our preference for Russian guests, although numerous excellent reviews from our guests of different nationalities are clear evidence that this is another of her fiction and nonsense. It is bad when it is impossible to protect yourself from this kind of false, biased and fabricated review. But we, once again, confirm that we work for the comfort and good time of our guests. And such “guests” probably come across everyone.
