✓ The hotel is really charming with a beautiful green backyard and everything is super clean. Mariana really helped us with giving information about the island like where to eat, what to visit, where the best beaches are etc. It was really nice that you can count on her help when needed 😊 rest of the staff was also really friendly 😊 The breakfast is great with excellent coffee, the offer is more sweet than savory. I would definetively recommend!

Feel like home

✓ Hotel Materese is located in Casamicciola, an excellent choice for visiting the wonderful island of Ischia, which is very central, with many restaurants, shops, beautiful beaches and other services. It is well served by public transport, taxis and has its own port. It is also a good place to stay as it is both peaceful and lively. The hotel itself is cute, has a wonderful garden with many beautiful plants and fruit trees (kiwi, lemon, orange, tangerines, peppers, fig tree, grapes... It also has its own restaurant where you can taste homemade dishes for breakfast (included) and dinner (optional). My room was located in the garden, so it was very quiet and intimate, with a very nice view of the sea. It was very large, comfortable, clean and well equipped. But above all, you absolutely have to stay at Hotel Materese because of Marianna and her family. They will do everything to make you feel unique and at home. Even before my arrival, she sent me tips to come easily. As I had to arrive in the morning before check-in time, she prepared the room early for me and welcomed me with good coffee and organic grapes from the garden (which is very precious after a long trip). She took the time to explain everything to me about the island, gave me lots of valuable advice (restaurants, activities...). It was not my first time in Ischia, but thanks to Marianna this time I was able to discover it very well and enjoy all the treasures of the island. She was also very caring with me and concerned about the smooth running of my stay (booking me activities, bringing me an umbrella when it was raining, preparing breakfast especially for me when it was already over...) . Thank you very much Marianna for everything, and I hope to be back soon!

An outstanding stay in Hotel Matarese

✓ We had a wonderful break staying at the hotel. Marianna and her family offer their guests a very special experience. The hotel grounds are beautiful. The breakfast is excellent - including delicious fruit from the garden, and they even offer an evening meal which we enjoyed. Marianna was so helpful and gave us great recommendations throughout our stay. We can’t wait to return!

✓ Marianna was helpful and amazing from day one. The hotel is held by the whole family, everyone is there to make your stay as comfortable as possible. She gave us the best recommendations for restaurants and activities to do on the island. The backyard is majestic and beautiful, our only regret was not being able to enjoy it longer as we had our days planned out. Everybody's nice and want to cater as best as they can to our needs. The hotel is clean, the service was 10/10. I would recommend this place with no hesitation.
