✓ Breakfast included was very tasty! The bed was so comfy, the house was in a beautiful place & the river was stunning. Would definitely stay again. A nice get away from wifi & electricity

A simple place with a very misleading description

✓ Shahira was very friendly. The food was good.

✗ You may love this place but you should be warned that the details on this site are very misleading. For the Queen Suite, contrary to the claims here: it is not a suite, it does not have an ensuite bathroom, nor does it have a balcony, nor a patio, nor a mountain view, nor a river view, nor an inner court view, nor does it have a pool with a view (it doesn't have a pool at all). All false. It's the same with the Double Room: almost every detail is false including the claim that it has a private bathroom. Neither room has a bath or shower: there is a shower out in the garden, but when we were there it had no water supply. The pricing also is quite misleading. We understood we were to pay a total of $80 for the two rooms. We ended up paying $118 for them: there is a cleaning fee as well as tax in the small print. Why not state the full price up front? Shahira told us that she thought these false claims were "manipulative" and that she would try to get them changed, but two months later, they are all still there. You may love this place for its simplicity: it has no electricity, no WiFi, you can bathe in the river. We were happy with all that, but we were quite shocked at the scale of falsehood.

Beautiful sanctuary to ground in nature and reset with an amazing host!

✓ I had a wonderful time at Soul Sanctuary. It was a great place to ground in nature and reset in beautiful surroundings. I really enjoyed the yoga platform and connecting with Shahira and the other guests who made my stay even greater. Amazing energy here.

✓ This is a wonderful bit of tropical paradise tucked along a stream. The birds were surprisingly diverse, considering the surrounding area is unfortunately pretty developed. The room was comfortable, and the breakfast was fine, though just oatmeal and banana every day.

✗ Getting here and around the area on public transit was a little challenging, so this may not be the best place to stay as a base to go out a lot. Also, don't stay here if you're allergic to cats.

Beautiful place managed by Shahira, who is an excellent host. Best place to reconnect with Nature

✓ Excellent location, easy to arrive. Good communication by the owner. The property has access to a beautiful river and a small waterfall. Location is perfect to relax and have some off-grid relaxing time.

✗ Payments should be made in cash so be prepared.
