Olde world charm and old fashioned service.

✓ Such a beautiful, charming home from a bygone era divided into separate units. The hosts were excellent, helpful, so welcoming and informative. My room was on the ground floor, it had lots of olde world charm with the furniture, fittings and a lovely titled quilt, but still modern facilities. The big surprise and bonus was that breakfast, both continental & cooked, was included in my room tariff and in a charming dining room with table service. Food was delicious and home cooked. The Grange is within easy walking distance of the city eateries and the park & gardens surrounding the Avon River.

Fantastic place to stay for a city centre break

Quaint in Christchurch

✓ I loved the central locality. A short walk to the art gallery, casino and convention centre and city centre.

✗ Small china teacups in room only for tea or coffee. Larger coffee cups would have been nice too.

Lovely 2 days -B & B close to city centre and restaurants

Comfortable stay near centre of town

✓ Useful location close to the centre of town so 10 mins walk to gallery, riverside market etc. spacious room and bathroom

✗ Furnishings beautiful but some showing heavy wear and need replacing. Would prefer real fruit juice at breakfast.

We fly in at 12.30 am from Sydney so may not get into the city til after 1 am - can we check in that late?

Yes, you can. We will arrange late check in for you. It is not a problem. When you make the booking, please add a note for late check in. I will tell you thedetails.

Hi, I see a picture of a spa bath, is there one in the room?

Yes, there is one of B&B King Room with spa bath.

Can I know .. is it breakfast is complimentary and what kind of breakfast is ?

Yes, the breakfast is all included with tea and/or coffee (we have a great espresso machine too!), a self serving of our Continental Spread (yoghurt, fresh fruit, cereals, fruit juice) and a choice from our cooked menu (Bacon & Eggs, Eggs Benedict).

The flight arrived around 10:00pm. How can we check in late?

Reception hours are from 7.30 am to 7.30 pm, however arriving late is not a problem. We have a ‘late arrivals’ box by the main door, where we’ll leave an envelope with your name on it. This will include easy instructions on how to find your room.
