✓ The guesthouse is really nice and quiet, located a bit outside the center of Santa María in a very quiet residential complex. It offers the perks of a big resort, such as a private beach (Bikini beach) and free beach chairs, at a reasonable price. The beach is very nice to swim, with no big waves, and has several beach bars. I would recommend this place to anyone who really wants to rest, as the only thing one hears back there are the crickets! There are shuttle buses for free several times a day to Santa Maria and Ponta Petra, also a very nice beach, with more waves. The checkout is very flexible, so that you can enjoy to the maximum your last day there, have access to the house and leave your luggage there for as long as you need.

✗ Apart from the beach bars in Bikini beach and a restaurant that opened recently in Vila Verde, there are not many options to eat, but the shuttle buses to Santa Maria depart at convenient hours to have lunch/dinner in Santa Maria center. There was a small problem with the AC, so it did not work during my stay, but Peter provided a fan that did the trick (and by the end of my stay I did not even used the fan :) )

✓ The guesthouse is very nice, cozy, clean and well equipped. Peter is a great host, takes good care of his house and it’s guests and provided me with all needed information about the island and the surroundings. I really liked the location a lot since the house is not located directly in the middle of the tourist hotspot but still very close to get everywhere easily, either by foot or with the provided shuttles, by taxi etc.
