Apartaments Les Terrasses del Tarter

Just the bare essentials, but a very spacious and clean apartment to stay in for a few days!

✓ There seem to be lots of different apartments available through the same agency so it was hard to know what ours would be like, but it definitely surpassed our expectations when we walked in. There was a massive foyer area for equipment and plenty of storage space in cupboards, and the place was incredibly tidy. The balcony was very big and the front-facing view out across the valley was cool.

✗ The kitchen equipment was very lacking, which made it difficult to adhere to the guidelines set by the agency. We had to sign T&Cs which stated that the dishes had to be cleaned and the rubbish removed upon exit, yet there only a tiny bottle of dishwashing detergent and a sponge provided. No drying towels, cleaning spray, additional rubbish bags etc. We also missed basic things like a chopping board and basic butter knifes. Additionally, no things to spruce up the apartment like couch cushions or decorations, but not really important!

The place was ok but we were disappointed.

✓ 1) view; 2) hot water (careful - scalding); 3) good heat 4) appliances - ne sores so, toaster, kettle

✗ 1) smell of cigarettes in apt, hallway, entryway - very very strong 2) quality of furnishings - rickety, old, ugly. bed swayed when you sat on it, table was uneven and ancient, sofa old and uncomfortable, cabinets were silly. some kitchen stuff ok - some falling apart (pot, knife) Needs fresh paint. the place just seemed very dated. 3) WiFi is USELESS. it works amazing in the rental office while impossible to open apps or mail in the apt. i had planned to do some work in the evenings and it was 100% impossible- let alone imagine to stream something for entertainment! 3) distance to lift for walking is very far and steep uphill at end of day

✓ Great location, underground parking saved us a lot of time. Spectacular views from the balcony. The flat was warm all the time. The staff at the reception were helpful and polite. We overall enjoyed our stay but there are a couple things that should be improved.

✗ Very thin walls so it is easy to hear someone in the next room turning in their bed. The flat does not have 2 separate bedrooms. It has 1 proper bedroom and two beds placed over the kitchen area with no walls - so, no privacy. Lastly, the hot water ran out in the evening (we were only 3 people). Lastly, I'd suggest that basic things such as oil, salt, sugar, tea/coffee are provided in the future.

✗ I don’t usually write negative reviews but I feel after this stay it’s essential so that other people viewing this property know what it’s like. 1. They lie about the location, the location found on booking.com is not where the apartment is. Once we arrived in Andorra we had to pay obscene charges for data so we all turned our data roaming off which meant we could not use maps to get us to our location. Our driver dropped us at the supposed location booking.com had given us and then we were supposed to walk to a different location to get the keys for the apartment. Once we finally found the check in we were told it was a 20 minute walk away all uphill with huge ski bags. Which is NOT the location they give you. It is right at the end of El Tarter all uphill and we ended up renting lockers for the week for our ski gear because there is no way we could’ve carried it all up every night. 2. We were meant to check in at 4pm but they stated that you could ask once you arrive at the check in if you could be let in earlier and since we arrived at 2:30 we were hoping this may be the case. However, they hadn’t finished cleaning and we weren’t allowed in the property until 4:30pm. 3. On arrival we had to pay tourist tax so make sure you read the fine print when visiting Andorra and we had to put down a deposit of €100. This is fine I have had to do this before at other properties. However, they specify that all rubbish bags must be emptied into bins outside and all dishes clean. This was fine until we arrived at the apartment and there was no facilities to ensure this was possible. We had no washing up liquid, no dryer, not even a tea towel to wash anything and only one small bin bag for the entire week. We went out and brought washing up liquid and bin bags to ensure we got our deposit back! 4. We had 7 people stay in this property that can hold 8 yet once two people had showered the hot water ran out.

Great location, perfect for a group ski trip!

✓ location was better than expected, walkable distance to the slopes/bars, with restaurants right outside the front door. Parking was great too

✗ We were expecting a room with twin beds and actually had 3 doubles, but it was fine.
