The shared rooms are great, but…

The shared spaces are excellent! They are very clean and big, and the floors are separated from the property, chatting and working. They are very comfortable and available for everyone.

There is no door between the bedroom and the sink. You can hear the noise of water pouring out and the dryer even midnight. It depends on the roommate and I might have been just unlucky whereas you will have to forgive them somehow.

Great option for a short stay. Walk the city, enjoy the atmosphere, learn some history.

The breakfast was great, always good to start your day of walking on foot with a healthy breakfast in your belly. The location was convenient, just a few minutes from public transportation. The port was close enough to get there by foot, like a 15-minute walk. The rooms were quiet enough so I could get sleep as much as I wanted.

There isn't much that I didn't like about the place, maybe the price of the breakfast, but that's because I prefer cheap meals. If you're okay with a quality breakfast, take it, it should satisfy your needs.

Best hotel in town if you ask me

Reasonable price, super location, great breakfast, nicely clean, awesome staff. This was the fourth time I stayed here I think and I highly recommend it. I've stayed in plenty of other hotels in Nagasaki (H2, Dormy Inn, JR and a few others) and this is the best value hands down.

The dormitory can get a bit hot. There's one bunk bed (the lower right one) where the airco doesn't reach. (It does have a small fan though.) Otherwise no issues at all with the sleeping area. One thing to note about the toilet on the first floor (the cafe one) is that the remote for the washlet (the bidet) doesn't work as is. You have to detach the control panel and point it to the toilet in order for it to work. I raised this with the staff the last time I was there and recommended them to make a clear sign explaining this but I saw they didn't take action on that feedback.

Very good

Clean and comfortable, lots of space with comfortable couches, kitchen had lots of equipment (but no basic supplies), free laundry!

Not much of a vibe/soul to the place. Bed was only just long enough for me and getting in and out of the top bunk was awkward. No smoking on balcony and the rooftop seemed to be permanently closed.

Hands down one of the best hostels - cool design and perfectly located close to Chinatown!

Perfect location on your way to Chinatown and the main nightlife area. Super cool minimalistic design in the cafe/lobby and room areas, and coworking space options. All amenities already included, with laundry as well. Available and kind staff with tons of recommendations to share. Unbeatable price for the value you get.

Room door code a bit tricky at times.

Very good

The location is great. There were some fun common rooms though I didn't have time to use them. Staff is nice. Capsules are roomy.

Nothing really bad, though also nothing too special. I do think the breakfast is very expensive and you don't get very much from it.

Q

Hi there, I'm really interested in booking 2 nights with you (3rd to 5th of May). My plane land at 8PM in Nagasaki Airport, and I'm afraid I will arrive around 10PM at your facility. Is it possible to check in after 9PM ? Thank you very much

Thank you for considering booking our facility. If you are unable to make it in time for check-in, we can send you the URL for online check-in and late check-in guidance in advance. However, it is a condition that payment has been completed.

Q

Do you a female (only) dormitory room?

Although we don't have any designated 'female only' dorm rooms, we do our very best to put all female guests together in the same room as best we can. It is very much dependent on the bookings we have when you stay with us. I hope that this helps you Best regards Les at HafH

Q

We will rent a car during our trip in Kyushu. Will there be a parking space at your property? How much it will cost for a night? thank you.

Unfortunately we do not have any on-site parking, but there are 5 parking facilities within 2 minutes walk of our building. The rates for these parking facilities vary from ¥500 to ¥700 per night during the week, but it is always more expensive during weekends. For this reason we have a handout sheet at reception with the locations and rates of each parking facility. I hope this helps you. Best regards Les at HafH

Q

Do I need a lock for the lockers?

The building main entrance and co-living area are equipped with an auto-lock system, and the private double rooms work with an electronic key card. All dormitory rooms have door padlocks that work with a code. We also provide to each guest a key for the safety box by their bedside. The luggage lockers in each room are built-in closets.

Q

Are sheets and towels included?

Linen and bath towels are provided for each guest, and smaller face towels are available on self-service in water rooms. We also do the bed making so the sheets are already on when you check-in.

Q

Do you offer luggage storage?

We can keep your luggages at the reception desk on check-in and check-out days, before check-in time and after check-out time. During your stay, luggages are to be kept in your room lockers.

Q

Do you have planned events or activities?

Yes, we do. As an example, we hold regular coffee classes, game nights, as well and various talks, workshops and seminars. We regularly have new events and activities. We sometimes offer discount for HafH member or our guests.

Q

Is it quiet at night?

当施設はドミトリー形式の宿泊施設となりホテルとは異なります。 ダブルを含め前お部屋でお隣への配慮が必要となります。 長崎市内中心部になりますが、夜、外の騒音は気にならない程度かと思います。
