Warm welcome - nice stay.

✓ Very friendly staff that asked for my needs in advanced. E.g. after arriving early in the morning with the ferry and early check in was possible which was. nice surprise.

✗ Airtraffic right over the hotel - but that holds true for the whole coast here.

Exceptional

✓ I liked everything about the place! The location is great, 15 minutes from the Heraklion, quite with private and beautiful beach. Room was clean and had everything in it, the hotel is very clean and daily maintained. Pool was clean, and had Greek music all day long with nice a great bar! Bar also open almost all night, ask Gino to prepare (his secret bubblegum shot) something he made you wont be disappointed! Food was really good all day long, and the staff! The staff has the most amazing and caring people! Rania, Joanna, Gino, Hani and the rest are always there 24/7 for everything! Great restaurants 2 minutes away right on the beach, and many local and great tavernas 15 minutes walk from the hotel. With a car, it is even simpler.

✗ My first room was a little tired and dated with the balcony area away from the room. I was able to move after 2 days to a suite that was not only much bigger but had been refurbished too.

Very relaxing and pleasant Mediterranean ambience. Loved it!

✓ Modern, exceptionally friendly staff, great atmosphere, big rooms.

✗ Wifi speed could be better and pool is certainly big enough, but not huge. Overall, still 5/5.

Disappointing economy rooms

✓ The swimming pool is quite small but really nice and clean, with very pleasant water temperature (mid-August). Staff is really kind and helpful, especially at the reception and bar.

✗ I hate to complain, however our room was really disappointing. On Booking.com there was no photos of the "Economic -semi basement" available, but on the website it said that the hotel was "totally renovated" this year, so I trusted that it will match the rest of the hotel look and feel. To my surprise, the bathroom definitely wasn't renovated and was rather scary, with mold on silicones and shower door falling apart at the attempt of closing them. On the bed I could feel every single spring. After the first night we were transferred to the "studio with sea view" which was slightly better (the only available option), however still not even close to "4-star boutique" standards. It didn't feel like an overpromise, but a simple lie. Finally, the waiter was not able to explain to us, why are we asked every single night for the room number yet still need to pay for the drinks after each dinner, instead of having them summed up and paid at the end of our stay. Oh and why does the bartender lady at the pool keeps screaming? Literally yelling across the place while people are coming there to chill...
