✓ I liked the location. It is central and easy to get to places. The place was clean and the quite and seemed very safe. The staff were friendly. Definitely good value for money

✓ The location is good - just a walking distance to the East Park Moll but also quiet and safety environment. Jakie - the reception lady was friendly and helped me throughout the stay. When I came back late at night, the guard was responsible to find my key to enter.

✗ The breakfast is good - but just a bit too oily for me.. I enjoyed morning coffee!

✗ DSTv was not functional. Aircon unit was wetting the floors overnight. Rooms were not cleaned during my 2 day stay.

✓ The rooms were very clean and neat. The cleaning staff was exceptionally good! The fridge and water kettle helped me a lot during my 3 weeks stay. The restaurant had three amazing ladies, who not only served really good breakfast but also all other things on their menu were cooked from the heart to perfection. I have tried 5 full meals out of their menu and can fully vouch for them. You can easily ask them to adjust the spice level. Even though it is slightly more expensive, if you count on the ulendo ride to east park mall, you are better off having a nice dinner at their restaurant for the same price. However, if you can not survive without coffee, I would recommend you bring your own mocha press which is what I had done. They also offer laundry service on request, just make sure to ask for the price in advance.

✗ It is not very far from UNZA, which means during some weekend nights, there can be loud noises outside. Even though the main gate of the lodge is closed, the guy at the door is more of a doorman than a security guard. Since I always worked late, the noise on some evenings got to me. But the ladies at the reception are very nice and helped me through that evening. There are no security cameras inside the individual buildings, therefore for the first days, it was a little difficult for me to leave my laptops and Ipads at the lodge, however, they are present in the public spaces. Having said that, it was very safe in general. In case you stay for an extended period of time, I advise bringing one plate and some cutleries for your personal use in the room.
