Spent 3 nights here as a base for cycling & watching Tour de France stages in the area which we enjoyed very much. W

✓ Great location near the lovely town of St Gervais. Basic but comfortable chalet-style accommodation which suited us well and the staff were all friendly & helpful. Limited choice of menu in the restaurant but the food was excellent, and the pizza bar was also a good option. We felt “at home” here!

✗ Lack of air-con meant the rooms were rather warm overnight as the weather was hot during our stay, the road outside was noisy early in the morning with window & shutters open. The en-suite shower although working well required some attention/updating.

We enjoyed it and would like to return.

✓ They were really friendly, the steak tartare was delicious and the room was comfortable. We had a great stay.

✗ We had some confusion over dinner, but the owner sorted everything out and the food was good.

A very good base camp

✓ Very modern, clean hotel geared for ski industry. It is 10 minutes walk to the train. A good location when bad weather arrives if you are walking in the mountains. There are plenty of options to get around the various valleys to pick up a trail. I booked a dorm bed and they decided at my age they would put me in a single room with shared bathroom.

✗ If you eat or drink in the bar/restaurant be prepared to pay top dollar. That said they had a good range of beers on tap. 5 minutes away there are some good options for eating.

✗ The receptionist changed our booked room which was shown in picture. I booked two normal beds. They changed to bunk bed. Infact when we reached they already allotted to other people.. the receptionist was very rude and shifted us to so called boss and keep us waiting for long time. And then the boss who was already their but keep us waiting and later said to us that " it doesn't matter" that the room or beds are changed. Anyhow the alloted room's bathroom was veryyyy small and we almost have to jump from toilet to shower place (which was enough for only 10 year old child). The extreme was on the next day with breakfast.. cold and extremely basic.. cold and hard croissant and baguette on table left open for flies. They deliberately didn't spoke English at the start becUse of their fault. There was not even soaps in bathroom. I have never seen this rude behaviour ever in my tourim life.. I never ever got that much disappointed from any hotel.. i am very easy going lerson.. but the this hotel was complete disappointment.
