✓ Rustic glamping, everything you need provided, Even carpets under the very comfortable warm beds which made the tent very cosy. Lovely hot outside shower. Firepit is great.
✗ Toilet a bit far (also down steps) in wet or cold weather for oldies who need to visit it at night.

Fantastic venue, wonderful hosts, just what the doc ordered.
✓ The woodcutters bush camp at the old trading post was just what I needed. Time spent under the trees with the sounds of birds all around was so rejuvenating. Everything you need is there, & if you need anything else you can ask the owners. I decided to make a fire. I asked about wood. Next thing I knew, there was a crate of wood & some firefighters by the camp fire! The bed was comfy, the dogs friendly, the outdoor bathroom was quaint. Also, when I arrived there I was able to buy delicious bread made that morning by Rene. She even had a litre of non-dairy milk for me to buy, after the spar in Wilderness disappointed!

The bush camp has 2 single beds in the main tent and 2 camp beds in the second tent. Some 12 yr old sleep alone, if yours can't, then a parent should join her in the tent. Regards Mike ⁵

Yes, you can bring kids with, the bush camp consists of 2 tents: The main tent has 2 single beds for the first 2 people, whilst the smaller tent has 2 camp beds for the 3rd and 4th persons (adult or child.) If small your kids may share with you.

Woodcutter's is one of our accommodation units at The Old Trading Post Guest House and is listed as a separate accommodation because it is so different from our other accommodation. The entire property is fenced off but not the bush camp. Regards

We are interested in booking the bush camp this month is this pet friendly for a well behaved cat that walks on a leash, we dont have anybody to look after our furbaby that is why she travels with us and she loves exploring the beach.

Yes we are pet friendly. We have dogs and the property is fenced. Best to keep your cat in the tent unless out on a leash.... it could venture out and disappear. Our dogs aren't used to cats. Kind regards Mike & René

The Bush Camp is a private area in the grounds of The Old Trading Post Guest House with reed screens around. There are 2 tents and decks in the bush camp but is for exclusive use of one group of 1 - 4 people. Regards Mike

Hi Johann, The bushcamp has 2 tents, we alawys makw up the big beds in the main tent for one or 2 guests, the second tent with camp beds is intended for children in your group or 3rd and 4th adults. Your dog is welcome. Kind regards Mike

The bush camp has 2 tents and one bathroom, however the camp is booked as a unit, for 1 - 4 people in a group. Main tent has 2 single beds and other tent has 2 camp beds (intended for children but can be usesd by adults) The bathroom is not shared with other guests. The bushcamp is bookable as a unit, for more accommodation on the same premises view The Old Trading Post - Guest House. Kind regards Mike
