Yukurina Resort Okinawa

Fabulous

✓ My room was more like a small apartment, everything I needed was there. Staff was very nice and helpful.

Excellent amenities and very comfortable

✓ Although it looks unassuming from the outside, once you get inside, Yukirina resort is a really friendly and well-furnished hotel. It's more like a holiday apartment, so my room had a full kitchen, with fridge, microwave, rice cooker and stove, and a washer and dryer in the bathroom. I was only staying for one night so didn't need to use any of those, but for longer stays I can see how useful it would be to have these available. The beds were soft, but I had a very good night's sleep; helped by the excellent aircon. It's definitely work upgrading to the sea view as it's not a huge amount extra and you get some gorgeous views across the bay. The hotel was a little tricky to find as the signs are quite small - look out for a red vending machine which is what we used as a landmark. Parking is very spacious, but remember you are in the countryside, so don't be surprised if you have any animal encounters and ALWAYS check on the roof of your car in case you have any spider stowaways. It's ideally placed for the aquarium - you could probably walk it in less than 10 minutes, and there's a well-stocked Lawson just down the road. The staff were very friendly at check-in and were happy for us to leave our bags, and also let my friend check me in on my behalf as I couldn't go in person. t There are a couple of vending machines in the lobby and some gacha machines as well.

I think it's good for family use, but not suitable for traveling alone.

✓ The room was spacious and the fabrics were in order and there was a sense of cleanliness.

✗ Toilet and bath were not clean. Since I arrived late at night, I could not find the signboard of the accommodation and could not find it easily. I didn't know how to operate the water heater, so I couldn't get hot water out

✓ Thank you so much Shinjyo and staff for making my stay comfortable and safe!! Their communication through chat was very helpful and held my hand every step of the way. Some other hotels would take days to respond back to me, but not them! Very communicative. Everything was super clean and I loved the drying machine for laundry! Because I was unlucky due to a typhoon hitting while I was there, they moved me to room on a lower floor for safety reasons. So kind! And the room was a huge upgrade!!! Muuuuch bigger, so spacious and comfortable. It made the typhoon fun because I could enjoy such a huge room! Big comfy bed, very clean showers and bath… everything was great!!

✗ I think the only thing I could complain about was there are no street lights around at night. So once it’s nighttime, you’re pretty much stuck at the hotel because it’s kinda scary to go out in pitch black around the hotel. So I recommend stocking up with food/drinks at the conbini (about a 10 minute walk, not too bad) before nightfall.

✓ The room was wide, clean and comfortable. Staffs was very nice and helpful. I could use the bicycle free from the hotel to explore around.

Nice get away, but be prepared to cook for yourself or eat conbini food.

✓ The staff was great, the team had everything. Maybe it was a condominium. Washer, dryer, laundry detergent, kitchen and the amenities.

✗ The hotel was on a hill and it was hard to use the bicycle to get back to the hotel.
