Amazing hotel in Arequipa

✓ Everything was amazing. The place is a beautiful colonial building well preserved and the service was exceptional, every single person in that hotel was kind, helpful and super friendly.

Stylish boutique hotel in safe neighborhood close to the center

✓ Acolpacha Tambo Boutique is a stylish boutique hotel, conveniently located in Arequipa. The hotel is in a safe area and it takes approx. 10 minutes to walk to the center. There are many small shops and eateries on the way. The hotel is beautifully decorated and has a great rooftop terrace which offers stunning views over the city and the mountains. I really enjoyed breakfast on the terrace. We stayed in a room with two generously sized twin beds on the second floor. The room and bathroom were impeccably clean and well equipped. Staff was very attentive and helped us plan a day drip by organizing a driver to Colca Canyon and arranged airport transport.

✗ my room was small and a bit claustrophobic, with no windows, only the entrance door.

✓ I like the vintage style building and decorations so much. The owner is very hosty and he shown us his personal collections.

Atmospheric and good value

✓ The staff were very friendly. The building is old and lovely and really captures the Arequipa mood. I liked the breakfasts as well. The bathroom was very amply-sized. It was an easy walk to the Plaza de Armas.

✗ There was a good bit of street noise from my room. I would have liked a separate soap for the sink area...I had to cart the body wash back and forth from the shower. It did have a nice smell, at least. A note about the wifi--it doesn't work well in the rooms (at least in my experience), but it does work fine in the exterior areas. I think it's an issue with the walls in the building.
