Catkin Lodge set in a Beautiful Woodland Holiday Park

Over all it was a great stay. We loved the quirkines of the cabin and the spaciousness of the park.

✓ Our cabin was lovely. Beautifully furnished and wonderful little quirky bits and pieces. Spotlessly clean, light and bright. The welcome basket was amazing and the home made cake went down very well with butter on it and a cup of tea. Ann and her husband, the owners were delightful people and very understanding when through no fault of theirs I had not got the messages with instructions. They happily talked me through how to get into the cabin for us to enjoy our 4 days there.

✗ We were 4 adults and found the cabin to bit a bit squeeze. Excellent for a small family but not perhaps 4 adults. This is not a criticism of the cabin just advice for adults wishing to share. Booking.com didn’t explain at the time of booking that we would require our own linen or pay a hire fee for use of linen. A sheet in the cabin explaining the workings of the shower (coming from Australia it was foreign to us). Took a bit of working out to find the switch for it. Also instructions for the oven, again we did eventually work it out after burning our pizza because we had the grill setting on. It was very crunchie!

✓ Really lovely stay - thank you - hamper immediately made us feel welcome - was unsure where to put rubbish and rooms a little bit smaller than used to. Will be back for a lovely relaxing stay soon xxx

Absolutely perfect in the most restful, peaceful of settings.

✓ Amazing situation in and amongst nature in a quiet peaceful situation. The cleanliness and decoration of the property were far in excess of expectation and the welcome basket of goodies was such a lovely, thoughtful touch.

✗ The wifi didn’t really work and was ridiculously spotty, the how water for the shower was lukewarm at best on the hottest setting and the water pressure wasn’t good even on the highest setting

✓ Beautiful location, surrounded by woodland. Very peaceful. The cabin was spacious spotlessly clean and well equipped. Comfortable bed, furniture and good selection of DVDs and books. Ann the host was very friendly and accommodating and very kindly left a welcome basket full of goodies and milk in the fridge. Step outside the door to hear the most beautiful sounds and sight of so many different birds. Plenty of interesting places to visit close by including woodland walks.
