Cozy hotel in the heart of the city

1 night

Solo traveller

Wonderful location in the heart of Ostrava. The hotel is small and cozy. The staff is friendly and welcoming as well as helpful. The room was spacious with a huge bed, a comfy sofa and a kitchenette. The bathroom had a big bathtub. It was a cold weekend when I stayed there and the heating worked perfectly. The room was equipped with a hot water kettle so I could make tea and coffee. The breakfast was fine with a wide selection of savory and sweet choices and very good coffee. I really liked staying there and will return the next time.

The TV set was a bit smaller so I didn't see much from the bed. The room had slanted ceiling due to the fact that it was an attic space so one can't stand straight in the bathroom and at certain points in the bedroom. Also some of the the skylights had broken blinds so it was a problem to close them.

Very good

Large bed with a settee in a separate room through kitchenette with minibar and some snacks available plus tea and coffee with kettle. 2-3 minute walk from Stodolni station, Stodolni is a street of night clubs, bars and take aways though far enough away from this Hotel to not be an issue.

Bathroom quite small toilet virtually under the sink.

Great choice for a stay in Ostrava city center

Great location to find some pubs and restaurants, very friendly staff. My room was old school but comfy! Would come back again :-)

Pleasant

friendly staff, good breakfast, spacious room, near the train station and the city center

furniture was worn out and cheap, you can hear voices and TV from next rooms. For that price (almost 70 € for single room) I expected more up to date facilities.

Lovely!

The staff are literally living for this place. Incredibly friendly and homey family owned hotel. Huuuuuge rooms, as well, and quiet at night.

Not much of a view from my window (inside a small brick square.

Central, calm and delicious in budget

The hotel is located in an excellent location to the city center. The room was very spacious: five rooms, including two bedrooms. It offers a very delicious and plentiful breakfast. The staff is kind and attentive.

The beds could be a little more comfortable. Not everyone among the staff speaks foreign languages, which can cause problems in understanding.

The hotel has very nice localization. Breakfast was tasty, staff very helpful, room was clean. Parking across the street.

I think the best choice if you travel on a budget.

Super kind and helpful staff. The lady at the reception was extremely helpful. Good buffet breakfast. Huge room. Centrally location. Close to the tram stop as well.

The bathroom was in the attic. I needed the squat during shower. There was no curtain on the window in the bathroom.

I recommend - I had nice stay, nice room, tasty breakfast

Rooms are ridiculously big, I was alone and I got two big rooms + kitchen, three beds, two sofas and kitchen table for four people. Everything looks very clean. Staff is really helpful and nice. The reception is open whole night, but controlled. Breakfast is faultless, there is anything that I could expect and everything seems to be fresh, not depending on the time I arrived. On top of that, there was minibar in room with not expensive alco/non-alco and small snack supplemented daily.

There are just few things that can be labeled as potentially "bad" for someone, e.g. missing elevator. You also can't expect it to be designer masterpiece. Honestly, on the first sight, my first thought was, that it was reconstructed 20-25 years ago (not because of condition or quality, but the look/design) and it was intended to be office building, not hotel. But even in this case, it's pretty and clean, so the price/value ratio is really great. Then, compared to the room size, the bathroom and shower cabin are small. And last thing is that eventhough the Booking says that the price includes taxes and fees, it's not the case for some reason, you have to pay small (euro a night I think?) local tax there, as well.

Revisiting Ostrava

1 night

Solo traveller

I have been here before and it is a great place to stay in Ostrava just at the famous Stodolni party street. The room is mildly said oversized, more like an apartment, nicely stocked fridge with beverages and goodies on the side. Breakfast is abundant with great variety. Great value for money.

The room size in the first floor was great. Quietness: although the hotel is located in Stodolni, the room was very quiet. There was no parking available when I checked in, but there is a very convenient private parking in the front of the hotel.

The "view" from the room #1 in the first floor wasn't great, but it is not a big problem for a 1 night stay :)

4.6/ 5

A very nice stay. Great if you plan to spend most of time outsider.

Very spacious room, friendly and helpfull staff, tasty breakfasts, hairdryer in the bathroom, possibility od borrowing iron, electric kettle, minifridge, sink and some dishes in the kitchenette, very big, comfy bed. I loved this bed ;-)

Room was a little dark because the windows overlook enclosed courtyard, the bathroom is very tiny, but clean and functional and on the ground floor you could jest conversations from reception. But if you closed door to bedroom it was ok.

Questions from travelers

What time is breakfast ?

Free WiFi in room or just public area?

Free WiFi is in all rooms and also public area.

Hi. Would travel from Italy with a pcr test made before departure. Do you think if that would be enough or should make a selft quarantine for 5days?

Hi, we really don't know what are the exact rules for the country you travel from and to because it is very difficult to find out. I think there should be in Italy a Internet Site available fromthe goverment where you can get the exact travel rules.
