Barellen Beach House

fun, fabulous, filled with light and sea breezes and beautifully decorated

✓ we loved the location, we loved the home, everything was clean, the host was very responsive and friendly, nothing was too much trouble, all questions were quickly responded to, all 9 of us loved our stay

✗ there were only smidgen of imperfection and that could be our fault too we found the oven a mystery that resulted in a cool dinner, the controls needed decoding as there were only two knobs that you had to press in a certain sequence to do the most straightforward function like choosing the temperature; and trying to turn it off...... well, we had to read the whole manual just to heat up a roast chook. also the shower has an unusual way to turn the hot/cold water on, but compared to figuring out of the oven, that was a breeze. there are 3 bathrooms advertised but one is part of the master suite and cannot be used by everyone as the bedroom in the suite has no door and neither does the bathroom, strange but true. being a bunch of old people we also found the front stairs would benefit from accenting the edges of the stairs, they are dark as is the entrance and we found we had to be super careful with approaching or leaving
