✓ good price, nice pools
✓ The location was very good and the staff of the arena was very friendly.
✗ When we arrived at the hotel, no one was answering the phone so that we could receive the apartment. We stayed outside for 3 hours to no avail. We had to rent another apartment. Even on the next day, no one was answering the phone until we went ourselves to the hotel two days later to talk to the reception, but the receptionist was... Unhelpful and rude, we paid rent for two nights and we did not live in the apartment at all. Although I confirmed more than once before I came from Belgium that we would arrive late at night.
✗ Shower didn't work. Constant power cuts and water being switched off.
✓ The room was big
✗ The beach wasn't good at all. There was construction work all over the place with a lot of noise . The pool was not clean and there were some people not wearing swimsuits or hair cap and there was no lifeguard around the pool.
✓ The restaurant is very good
✗ The stuff and reservation options
✓ Big apartment, comfortable beds, nice beach, breakfast was okay, quiet at night
✗ Was unclean when we arrived (it got cleaned after we told them, but the old sheets were just folded and put back in the drawer), no wifi, loud music at the beach
✓ Cleanliness, location, and lack of noise
✗ Beach line can be formed nicer
✓ What a fantastic find this place was. Our group stayed here for a kite surfing holiday, since there's a highly rated kite school a short stroll towards the beach, but we were completely taken aback by how welcome Mahmoud, Ahmed and their team made us feel during our stay. Conveniently located just a few mins drive from Gouna and Hurghada, but away from all the bustle, Selena Bay perfectly captured the chilled vibes we were looking for. For food options, there's the Arena restaurant and beach club, which has a decent menu (I really recommend the lentil and tenderloin soup), and there's also a small on-site shop that sells various snacks and sundries should you need. Be aware though that there's no WiFi in the rooms, only in reception, so it might be worth purchasing a cheap 4g WiFi router with a sim card from the Vodafone store in Hurghada if you're planning on staying for a while. All in all, we had an amazing time and thanks to the talented, hardworking team there, we'll definitely be back before long!
