Lovely cottage in the heart of Castleton. The cottage was welcoming and perfect for our short stay.

Location was great, restaurants and pubs within walking distance

A gem!

Absolutely beautiful cottage with all home comforts and more. Lovely surprise of chocolates and fizz drink on arrival. Every aspect of this delightful holiday cottage was fantastic from location to comfort of beds. This is a prize gem of a place, especially loved the super friendly duck who liked to chill out on the private terrace.

Nothing.

A modernised but traditional stone cottage that is superbly located and well worth staying at.

The location of this cottage is superb. It's directly opposite the tourist information centre, close to the main high street and really easy to walk from here to Mam Tor and all of the nearby caverns like Treak Cliff, Blue John & Speedwell Cavern. All of these are well worth the visit too. And there are 4 or 5 country pubs and a restaurant really close by too! Brilliant The kitchen was really well equipped, (there was even a garlic crusher in the drawer) and the high standard of refurbishment undertaken by the owner is spot on.

The parking area is a little difficult to find and about a 4 minute walk away. Having said that, we were able to drop off our luggage at the cottage door first and then take the car to the parking zone. We stayed at the cottage for just under a week and didn't actually need to use the car even once! Therefore, all in all it was no problem at all. On the day we were leaving, we just went and picked up the car when we were ready to go we loaded the boot from the front door in the same way as we unloaded it on arrival. No stress, no real issue.
