Hermanns Hotel Sibiu

Very good, amazing with some minor improvements

✓ Very friendly staff & amazing spa!

✗ The “famous” red oven (after the name of the restaurant) was turned off at 8pm instead of 9pm as advertised. We could not have the stone baked pizzas we were looking for. While the spa was amazing, other guest were rude and loud which damped the enjoyment of the facilities.

Exceptional

✓ really nice room design, nice view to the city, clean rooms, good location, close to the city center

We chose the hotel for its location and may come again

✓ The size of the room is generous (as well as the bathroom) and the table is suited for working on the laptop. Good facilities for ironing clothes. The staff was receptive and eager to help (with very few exceptions).

✗ No bathroom robe available, neither with an extra-cost. The minibar and the safe were located within the wardrobe closet which limited the space for storage. Only one storage space available (excluding the nightstands) which can be insufficient if you are going to stay longer. The ventilation system smelled funny when active (not pleasant for your nose anyway) however you can switch it off and ventilate the room by opening the window.

Very nice hotel and spa but not the staff members

✓ The hotel is very nice and clean, including the room, the lobby, restaurant and the spa services (for which we had to pay separately - 70 lei per person for half a day) The breakfast had many many options. The swimming pool and saunas were very clean and well organized.

✗ I had a problem with the reservation to access the spa, I have tried to contact the property at least 3 times on the phone number provided by them more them 72 hours before our stay at the property but they never answered to the phone. Finally, like 35 hours before our arrival I managed to contact them on the phone and the lady receptionist from the hotel told me that the spa is already fully booked and we cannot access it as many people from outside the hotel (local citizens) made a reservation and therefore there is not possible for us to use it. I have tried to find a solution with the hotel but without any success so I had to call to Booking România and they told me that it is not their fault and contact directly the property, which was really not nice as I made the reservation through Booking! I called Booking UK on the phone and there was a really nice guy who tried to help us with this issue and contacted the property, but of course they didn’t answered to the phone! The next day when we arrived to the hotel I have received the same answer that the hotel and the spa are different “entities” and the hotel cannot do anything. We went to the spa center and discussed with a guy there and he was really sorry about this situation and immediately accepted us to pay and use the spa services as we are guests of the hotel, a real thanks for that guy who made everything possible just to satisfy our needs!

Fabulous

✓ Really clean and modern rooms. The breakfast was excellent and diversified.

✗ Small Parking lot, had to park in a near by parking lot of a supermarket.

Overall stay was good stay and definitely I will choose them again:)

✓ I like the fact that everything its brand new, nice concept and design of the room, the bed was comfortable ! The spa its nice to relax, especially if you want to experience nice saunas or massages. Staff friendly!

✗ The room tends to get very warm, and the AC was not working. Bottles of water would nice to have in the room and maybe more parking spots. For the guests which are staying in the hotel, should have an entrance directly to SPA, and not going out.
