Everything. From the location, to the size of the rooms, the food and especially the staff. A real gem in the landscape of Luanda.

The best hotel in Luanda but the price is scary compared to other locations around the world, so Angola needs to re-think their strategy, seriously and stop milking foreigners to so politely bring foreign currency.

Loved the view from my room (20 floor, facing the bay). The location is perfect. The rooms were clean and the service was very good. Was given a tour by a staff member named Gueina and she was very professional! Will definitely come back! 🙂

Some areas were still not opened (I.e. the pool), but they were preparing for it.

the hotel personnel are friendly and ready to help

the safe in my room broke twice. each time the safe just stopped recognising the code I had entered previously. I am absolutely sure that I was entring the code correctly when I was trying to open the safe, because I had taken a picture of the code as it was displayed on the screen when I was locking the safe. First time they managed to open it with a master key, and I retrieved my passport and wallet. Second time they could not open it and had to break it. But my things were not damaged luckily. During my last night at the hotel, somebody opened the door to my room at 4:49 AM. Luckily I had locked the door additionally and I was not asleep at that moment because I had gone to bed very early the previous evening. I don’t think it was a guest, because his/her card was not supposed to open my door, and I don’t think it was someone of the hotel personnel, because they always knock on the door before they open it with their keys. So it remains a secret for me, who that was and what he/she wanted, because when I opened the door and looked out, no one was to be seen. But I was greatly surprised and kept thinking what could have happened if I had been asleep or left the door unlocked from inside.

Breakfast buffet was somewhat average for a hotel of this price but adaquate

Exceptionally expensive especially for dinner. There are no proper a la carte restaurants. Dinner is served only buffet style. I ate quite late and found little to interest me as most of the food had been in the dispensers for some time. I had a small meal but was charged something like $90 for the pleasure as they just charge for unlimited buffet. This is ridiculous for a 5 star hotel charging what they do. Also the place had zero atmosphere in the bars etc. On two days my room wasn't even cleaned.
