Spectacular Amazonian sounds and colors

✓ I am a returning guest at Kantu Garden Lodge, and was once again enchanted by the morning mist and spectacular fauna and flora of the space. This time around I found various new additions to the space, such as a new gazebo by the entrance where I sat to read a book, and the wood pizza oven from which I ordered a splendid margarita pizza.

Pretty lodge with room for improvement

✓ Pretty bungalows in a beautiful garden. Nice location near the river with easy access to the town via stairs. Wifi was surprisingly good. The included breakfast is nice and filling but they charge extra for a coffee refill. Some of the staff were friendly and attentive, others less so.

✗ In a lodge like this I would have expected a water station to refill a bottle or even coffee/tea like you find in many/most other places). They have all the equipment, but make it available only to groups :-( The rooms are beautiful with huge windows but some curtains or shutters would have been nice for some privacy or to keep the light out early in the morning (especially if you can’t get coffee until 8). Also, a light switch near the bed would have been handy.

Beautiful gardens, VERY sweet people!

✓ Such a beautiful experience to stay in the gardens of Kantu surrounded by birds, monkeys, and flowers.

✗ A fan in the rooms would be very helpful for sleeping. Also, it would be nice if there were screens in all the windows so that you could get more airflow in the room and bathroom.

The best stay in our 2 WEEK TRIP.

✓ This place was a great surprise! I did not expect such a beautiful lodge in the small town of Moyabamba. A modern harmonisch construction surrounded by lovely tropical gardens and totally hidden though walking distance from the center plaza. That rooms were spacious and had European high standards, food exquisite and the owner and hostess was very helpful. Don't miss this place if you come to Moyobamba.
