Base Lausanne

We loved it and would not hesitate to go back

✓ We love Base Lausanne! The location’s perfect for exploring and reaching all points of Lausanne. The bldg is a few minutes walk from the train yet somehow feels private. We enjoyed the ice cream shop next door and the nearby stunning lake walks. The building is immaculate and the apts well equipped. The bed was very comfortable. We appreciated the Asko washer and dryers offered free in the basement. The weekly housekeeping service helped quite a bit. We stayed a month and easily could have stayed for many more.

✗ If you need a concierge service this is not the place for you. I would have liked a guidebook in the apt that explained things like the appliances in the apt, the local metro, the mail address and option, the area restaurants and perhaps info like the stores are mostly closed on Sunday. But these are small issues!

✓ Highly recommended, quiet & large room, renovated, modern kitchen, very good location. Bed is comfortable, I slept very well. Good blinds to hide from the sun in the morning. Nice gym equipped with "Technogym" gym-machines. I received an early check out opportunity after exchanging with the staff, very much appreciated.

✗ Some hiccups with the magnetic cards, not opening the main door and the gym, solved by calling the staff. I did not received the details on how to enter the buildings and do the self check in, I called the staff and it was quickly solved. My apt was on the top floor, I was a bit squeezed in the shower bath (I am 180cm, could be complicated for someone very tall).
