✓ Breakfast is delicious and there are lactose and gluten free options. Staff is helpful and polite. Room was clean as the bathroom.

✗ For people taller than 1.90 beds are a little bit short

✓ Breakfast was good, the room had air conditioning and location was good close to lake garda. Parking slots were full when we arrived but we could fit our motorcycles in small empty spot.

✗ For 3 guys with all the motorcycling stuff and luggage the room was pretty full.

Our stay was most enjoyable and we appreciated the helpful friendly staff.

✓ The location suited us as it was only 15 mins pleasant walk to the hustle and bustle of the city center. We also like the roof top terrace for relaxing in the late afternoon. The manager Felix was exceptional and we also appreciated all the other staff that were also friendly and helpful. Special mention to breakfast staff for being so kind. Felix kindly changed our room for a larger room for the 2nd,3rd and 4th nights. We were so pleased. Being able to use a fridge accessed only by staff.

✗ The breakfast was "fit for purpose" but would have liked the milk and yogurts to be more chilled. To be fair the staff listened to our request and adjusted. That was appreciated. Now for the major dislike ( not just this Hostel) but really a reflection of Italy and many other European countries. Yes the impact of smokers on non healthy sensible non smokers. This hostel (really a hotel) had a very good patio area and a roof top terrace. Both areas were often "taken over" by smokers and often if the smokers were near the kitchen or reception entrance which meant the 2nd hand smoke would drift inside. Its beyond us why smokers in Italy receive so much leeway in this modern world. There has to be change at Govt levels but also better controls and resistance by the hospitality industry. If Italy and other European countries want to grow their tourist industry AND enjoy better health then they had better introduce more stringent controls on smokers. An excellent example of success in this area is New Zealand, Australia and Ireland to name a few and I believe USA is also succeeding. Contrary to initial resistance some years ago by some areas of the hospitality industry (mainly pubs) about restricting the areas for smokers the attendance to cafes and pubs etc actually increased in those countries. The rest is history:) and some folk most likely enjoying better health:) The beds need to be more modern.
