Ai Savoy staff were excellent. I would have preferred to enjoy my room which I did not.

✓ The staff were alway helpful, friendly and courteous. I am not fluent in Italian and needed to speak English which the hotel staff kindly did. I also needed to reserve an early morning taxi to get to the airport and they helped me with this. The taxi driver arrived when requested and I made it to the airport in the time frame that I needed. The location of the hotel was great and the area was safe and friendly as it was a mix of residential, commercial and tourist. The reception area, the breakfast room and the lounge area near my room were all rich with history.

✗ I didn't like the steep stairs that I needed to use each time I went to my room and to carry my luggage up and down. I did not feel safe using them. I actually needed a room accessible by an elevator. The bed was very small and very uncomfortable. The room was dark, even decorated in very dark colors and there was no view out to the city or the street. The window was shuttered and I could not get in much natural light or fresh air. There was no screen on the window so I couldn't allow fresh air in without being bitten by insects. I had at least 10 mosquito bites.

Wifi did not work, but extremely comfortable bed and clean room. I had a positive experience.

✓ Probably my fault in arriving at night and trying to find the main door. The instructions, once at the main door, were perfect. Thank you Helpful staff answered a couple of my queries.

✗ The room only has 2 pin sockets, therefore had to borrow an adaptor (3-pin to 2-pin for my universal adaptor) the first morning. Staff were very helpful with this.

✓ The room was surprisingly big. Very clean and comfortable, with a good bathroom. The location is goo, just 10 minutes from Piazza Castelllo by foot.

✗ I discovered to my surprise that Italian electric sockets are not the same as in most other European countries. However, the house kindly lent me an adaptor.

✗ The limited services, eg stored luggage was an extra cost and not convenient as the reception had very limited opening hours. Breakfast was very sparse and needed topping up.
