✓ Very friendly and welcoming staff both at reception and at breakfast. Great location in the centre of town near shops and restaurants. Basic but value for money.

✓ It is in a very central location close to the bus station and all the tourist spots. The people at the front desk were always extremely helpful, and they were patient with my limited Spanish skills.

✓ Beds were comfortable and cozy, rooms were warm, like how it's based in the city and get a view of the city, friendly staff the old couple that could speak English were very helpful, good value for money

✗ It's expected that it's noisy, the showers started off running on cold or hot water but it was fixed at the end

✓ - stayed here for one night because of our early flight from Punta Arenas - breakfast was included and served even for early check-out - very nice host

✓ Hostal Ochen is relatively new, having only begun operations in Oct 2022. The room and bathroom are spacious and comfortable for the price, and honestly feels more like a hotel. The living room area on the third floor also provides a cozy space to meet other travellers. The location was also excellent, being right in the centre of the small city. Lastly, the owner of this hostel, Señor Miguel, is an absolutely lovely man who was extremely friendly, hospitable and always made sure to go out of his way to ensure that his guests have an enjoyable stay. All in all, it was a lovely 3 days at a very reasonable price!

Comfy rooms and very nice staff. Only the noise on weekends is very annoying.

✓ Location is excellent, very close to bus station and Plaza de Armas. Costanera is also quite close.

✗ The noise at night on weekends. There are some crazy people doing private car races all night long on weekends, and the police doesn't do anything against it. Local people and hostel guest are suffering because of the noise.
