Breakfast around the pool stupendous & in abundance

✓ breakfast excellent, staff excellent

✗ 1 beat-up wastebasket (& no replacement despite request), beds a little hard with springs, wallpaper falling off, evidence of lack of maintenance (paint, wallpaper). Pool closed off too soon.

Very good

✓ The breakfast had a great selection. Whilst having breakfast the staff were attentive and welcoming. If you enjoy the beach, then the location is perfect. It was accessible to the beach/sea, and there was also great restaurants nearby.

✗ I thought that the gym facilities would have been better. I was also surprised to be told that I would have to pay for a bed at the side of the pool within the hotel. Obviously this came with fruit, but it would have been nice to have the option to relax without paying for a bed. I therefore spent less time in the hotel because of this.

4 nights in Porto Banus

✓ If you're looking to stay in Porto Banus, then this location is really good. You have beach frontage, and the pool is pretty nice. I like the fact that there is a balcony where you can relax on the sun lounger privately. In-house restaurants and breakfast are pretty decent. Toilet has a bidet.

✗ The room seems a little bit dated now. Touching up required, especially in the toilet. My safe wasn't working (out of battery), and I had to get reception to fill in my shower gel as it was empty upon arrival

✗ we did not know that the sun beds for the hotel's beach had an extra charge, and there were too many fake bags salesmen walking around the beach

Excellent holiday, love this hotel - best location in Marbella!

✓ The location couldn’t have been better! We walked into Puerto Banus harbour every night for dinner and drinks, which only took about 10/15 minutes and it was a beautiful walk right by the beach. It was also great being on the beach too, whereas a lot of other hotels in Marbella are further back by the dual carriageway (which definitely isn’t as pretty). Our room was a good size and the bathroom was nice too, plus we had a huge balcony with a table and chairs and a lounger which was great! It is definitely excellent value for money and I would recommend it to anyone.

✗ The hotel is slightly outdated, although that didn’t bother us too much as we were out a lot anyway. The bed in our room wasn’t very comfortable I must say, it was rock hard and the pillows were very long and thin which wasn’t very comfortable under our necks. If I had to make one recommendation, it would be to update the mattresses and pillows! We also found that a few of the staff round by the pool were a little bit rude, however the staff in reception and at breakfast couldn’t have done more for you.
