Built in a traditional Cretan village style, this hotel is situated in the picturesque seaside village of Sissi with its numerous bars, coffee shops, taverns, restaurants, souvenir shops, and boutiques.

✓ We paid extra for a de-lux room with a sea view balcony. The room was very compact compared to other places we have stayed and the whole complex was a 'rabbit warren' with many rooms squeezed in...
✗ The buffet breakfast was quite extensive and varied which was good. However, many of the cooked items were lukewarm to bordering cold. Seems the bain marie were not working...
✗ Everything
✓ Very nice Staff, clean Rooms. The Location is Top! I can only recommend.
✓ The hotel was very nice, directly on the beach. The staff was very friendly. Also the rooms and the food were perfect. Would love to come back again :)
✓ This is the best place to stay in Sisi and in this part of Crete. The hotel is cozy and family-like, you feel like home there. Everything is clean and beautiful, room is very convenient, food is great. We stayed for a week and would love to stay for one more. There are two good pools, bar with nice cocktails. Once a week you can take part in Greek night for extra price – it is a great fun and is provided with a fantastic dinner. There is a good beach in 15 min walk from the hotel and it's worth a walk. Near the hotel there are supermarkets, car rentals, tavernas, souvenir shops. I highly recommend Costello as it is a place that will provide everything you want for a nice and calm vacation. Staff is helpful and very friendly. We will miss this place very much
✓ the room was clean and AC worked well. breakfast was by far the best part of my stay.
✗ The reception was very rude to me. The lady judged me for being solo and talked very passive aggressively when I had simple requests. I tried to book my room with cash, as I needed a hotel due to an emergency situation but they turned me away to book online, fine if that is policy then I did that. Then they “close” the pool when it is still daylight so paying guests can’t enjoy as normally expected at a resort. They do not have services on Sundays that should be provided all days of the week, such as no pool towels, laundry or doctor on site. They called for me to check out a day early, when I paid for two nights and made me feel very unwelcome, even though I told them I was needing to stay there due to an emergency elsewhere. I finally had enough and decided to switch hotels, where check in was a bit later so I asked if Castello does late check out. I was told yes by someone who clearly didn’t understand. Then when time came, I was told check out 11pm sharp or be charged. This place is run very poorly, I only have good things to say about the breakfast buffet and that the room was clean.
✓ Sea View, coffee machine, soft beds. Parking outside the front door. The staff were all friendly and helpful.
✗ Resort has obviously ironed out all the kinks in the facility and it shows.
