Mica Point City Centre Apartment

Comfortable, clean and good value for money

✓ Location was great, communication was great, lots of space

✗ It could have been easier if there was a key lock box at the property rather than picking up the key from another location.

It was a good stay but not fantastic

✓ The location was good and it had a lift!! The beds were clean and comfortable. Lots of sockets everywhere! Initially the apartment seems perfect.

✗ The marks on the dining chairs are bad! Bad choice of colour for a short term let. The apartment was extremely hot, a bedroom window could easily be left open to help with this. The bathroom needs a deep clean around the bath and a new shower screen seal needed. Bathroom lights did not always work

✗ Was quite hot in the bedrooms & windows wouldn’t open very far but fans were provided .

Clean and comfortable but the rules and charges prevent me recommending it

✓ Good location. Apartment was big enough for four adults. Shower was good. Hot water. Easy access

✗ I had to collect the keys from a different location which i didn’t like as it was raining hard and had to walk there. I believe the owners should have the electrics looked at. If you put three of the oven rings on, the circuit breaker trips. I could only use two rings at a time which would be a problem for a group staying there.

Great location and comfortable but in need of a bit of a revamp

✓ Great location and spacious apartments. Comfortable beds and clean throughout. Did the job we needed as we didn’t spend much time in them.

✗ Confusing way to pick up keys if you aren’t familiar with Birmingham. I don’t think the pictures accurately reflect the state of the apartments, they are in need of a refurb as we found them to be tattier than the pictures (carpets frayed, chips on walls, cigarette burn on sofa, wobbly chairs etc..). and one of the two apartments smelt very musty. That being said it didn’t impact our stay.

✓ the staff is supportive to solve my queries and problems. the location is near the bus stop, just 4/5 minute walking

✗ the kitchen is not fully equipped and a bit small for us to cook comfortably. I expected it was a bit brighter in the room and the bed is more comfortable 🥲😔
