Good value in San Jose center.
✓ Good value in San Jose center. The place is very central , walking distance for everything , secured and clean . Very functional place to spend some time in the city. Good value for the cost .

Exceptional
✓ Easily the most convenient hotel if you have an overnight bus to pick up. Very close to both the Ticabus terminal and the Pulmitan one with buses that go to Guacanaste. Staff are very accommodating and the room is excellent value.

A pleasant stay
✓ It's been a pleasant stay with friendly and professional hosts and clean rooms. The Wifi is excellent with a good speed and reliable. Located in central San José there are shops and restaurants nearby in the area.

✓ The people are very nice and helpful. The room is simple and comfortable.
✗ The hotel is not in the best neighborhood, but the place is very secure in itself, and there are restaurants very close, so there is no need to walk far at night to eat. I went to a place right across the street, and all was good :)

✓ Good value for the cost place to stay. Clean and secured ... a walking distance from Central Avenue , shopping, banking and restaurants. Zero issues . The private room was simple and clean . Hot water and cable TV . Very punctional .

El Descanso is a nice and affordable place to stay while visiting San José.
✓ The hotel was very nice considering how little I paid. I did not expect it to come with a TV or for the room to be as clean as it was. I also slept very well and there was plenty of storage space. El Descanso is a wonderful hotel for solo travelers or couples in San José.
✗ Something kept shaking the room, like a small earthquake. There was also a lot of noise from the room next to me and it sounded like there was construction going on. However, it was still pretty good.

✗ It’s in a very sweet part of town. Room is tiny.
