✓ The cherry house in Tokyo was a motel type of accommodation with 49 rooms and was good and clean except the kitchen was crowded because of so many guests, the toilet was clean, and the shower area was clean. The room was double bed was clean. The host Tom was nice helping.

✗ Cherry house in Makasudo was not in good shape. The shower area was bad in shape with this price we paid.

You get what you pay for

✓ A cheap, remote private room in Matsudo. It is calm (we were the only residents during our stay), comfy and there's a lot of room. We never saw the owner but a really kind lady was there for our check-out.

✗ The bathroom could be a bit renovated. The first night was a bit scary because no one was there to greet us, as someone else said it felt like trespassing, and we were unsure whether or not we were alone in the house.

✓ The host was a really pleasant personality. I enjoyed it like a home away from home.

✗ Better if they could provide a bathroom towel.

Disappointing

✓ My interlocutor Tom-san was friendly and helpful. The place is quiet. There is a supermarket and some kombini at 8mn walking.

✗ Far from the train station; no reception on arrival, no lock on the bathroom door... The whole apartment needs a refurbishment.

✗ AC would turn off at night at -2 Celsius because of voltage overload, too many guests at once, which made it a VERY bad night, facilities are broken, the owner is VERY lovely and I would like to meet him again, but the house I kinda falling apart, one of the bathrooms is out of commission, and what once seemed to be a lovely garden is filled with ruined furniture and garbage, for some reason guests staying there are VERY dirty, they leave the bathroom dirty, shower dirty, they are loud (stayed 3 nights and 3 different guests were like that), a VERY simple lock is provided as security measure for a wooden door locked behind 2 uneven screws, which only takes a little bit of "foreigner" and determination to open without leaving a trace, which made me feel uneasy while I was away with my very valuable belongings in the room, it's a 20 min walk to the nearest station, which after a long day feels like hours, overall I DO NOT recommend the place, you're probably better off anywhere else.
